Because you are making a Group Booking, there are additional Terms and Conditions that apply. Please read them and click 'I Accept' below to continue with your booking

General Group Booking Terms

By making a group reservation through Hostelworld.com you agree to the following terms and conditions as set by Hostelworld.com and as set by the hostel in question.

  • In order to make a group reservation on Hostelworld.com it is necessary to pay a deposit. The balance is due directly to the hostel according to their payment conditions.
  • The booking deposit is non-refundable.
  • Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise stated in the hostel's conditions.
  • Hostelworld.com are not responsible for changes or amendments to your reservation once it has been processed. All correspondence with regard to changes to your booking need to be dealt with directly with the hostel.
  • Cancellations for reservations must be made directly with the hostel and must conform with the individual hostels cancellation policy (see below)
  • It is your responsibility to pay the balance of your accommodation cost to the hostel in accordance with their payment conditions (see below). Failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled by the hostel.
  • Individual hostels may have special booking conditions relating to group stays, please read the hostel booking conditions carefully before making your reservation.

Hostel Specific Terms & Conditions

The remainder of the amount due will be charged to your credit card 4 weeks prior to arrival. Should numbers or room selection change, the per person deposit times the number of people who actually travelled will be deducted from the total accommodation charge levvied by the hostel.

Cancellation / No Show & Reduction in Numbers Policy

***Property Policies & Conditions:
1. Check-in time is 02.00pm.
2. Check-out time is 11.00am.
3. Payment: Accept Cash
4. Cancellation Policy: Up to60 days advance notice before the arrival date is required.
5. Reception is open from 7am to 10pm.
6. Child and Extra Bed:
(1) Children 5 year and above are allowed – please reserve an extra bed for them.
(2) The maximum number of extra beds in a room is 1.
(3) Additional fees of extra bed are not calculated automatically in the total cost and will have to be paid for separately during your stay.
7. Noise levels are to be kept to a minimum between 10pm and 7am.
8. No animals allowed
9. No smoking in any rooms and certain designated areas.
10. No outside visitors are allowed in the rooms.
11. No drugs allowed on the property

Any cancellations resulting from agreement to these terms and conditions under false pretences will result in loss of deposit.

Property Description

Awon mirissa is 3-Minutes walk from the beach with free parking & Wi-Fi. This standard double room feature a king-size bed, air conditioning , hot-water shower, free toiletries & a terrace with private Balcony.Guests will find Free medical advice is obtainable* as this is owner wife codified Nurse.
Spa, whale watching, airport transfer & bike rides,Yala Udawalawa Safari,Ell Tour,Galle City Tour,Tea Plant Visit,Turtle Farm & Snake Farm,Spice Herble Garden,Lake Safari Tour, Sinharaja Rain Forest tour,Snorkeling & Diving Tours,Surf Lessen,Yoga,can be arranged.
Please note that your check in time is 1 pm and check out time is 10.30 am.
If you go for whale watching on the day of your check-out please arrange your luggage before departure as arrival time from whale watching vary from 10.30 am to 4.00 pm. In case if you are late, we may need to open the room to clean for the next check-in when the property is fully booked.
The maximum number of staying guests per room is illustrated in the room occupancy details. Only the lead guest and the named booking party are allowed to use the property and its facilities, any third party visitors are only allowed access at our express permission.
All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests, neighbors and the owners at all times.
Cleaning and changing of bedding
We clean the rooms on your request. Please hang the relevant tag on your door handle when it is required.
We change bedding and towels on your request as we work to protect the environment and make responsible use of water – a limited indispensable resource. If you need to change them, please inform our Staff .
Beach towels
It is prohibited to take towels provided to the room, to the beach. Beach towels are available for rent (Rs 100 each/day).
Electric card
Do not detach the electric card from the tag.
Breakfast
Breakfast will be served from 8.00-10.00 am (in the dining are) and the kitchen will be closed by 10 am for cleaning. If you wish to have the breakfast before 7.30 am or in- order to go out early we can provide you a packed breakfast. If so please let us know in advance.
We serve an English breakfast and Sri Lankan breakfast alternatively. If you wish to have an English breakfast instead of Sri Lankan breakfast or vice versa please let us know at the evening of the day before.
Wi-Fi
The Internet access provided is intended for general. It is not intended or ideally suited for heavy media streaming, online gaming, extensive downloads / uploads.
Damages & Lost Property
We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimize damage and associated costs. Lost or damaged items will incur a replacement charge.
Any lost property, if discovered and found, left behind by guests during a stay will be held for a period of 1 week. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belonging before checking-out.

    This is a small and cozy hotel. It is located not to far from the beach and there is a good restaurant 10 meters aways. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful to us. You ask any questions you may have and he will try his best to accommodate you.(Thanks for the recommendation to go to Matara to get the train instead of getting in Galle!) The staff always greeted us with smiles and friendly hello. I recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

    Nice little stay..... A bright modern newly built hotel.It was clean with working Ac and hot water.we can watching television in the room.clean b,room.not noisy and quite location 3 minutes walk to beach.Awon is best and very helpful owner.

    Very beautiful place and 3 minutes walk to the beach.New modem,very comfortable and very clean room.Balcony with Tv room.Nice location away from the main street.Breakfast is delicious Ac strong and adestable.Hotel owner is friendly and he was arranged nice whale's watching tour.Definitely would recommend.

    Best hotel and looks beautiful .Excellent services ,breakfast ,Amazing decarection with perfect service .Hotel owner Thusath is proper maintain everything .very clean room and more facilities we can take here.very beautiful garden every where flowers .5 minutes you can go beach ,shop,Restaurant ,foodcity ,bank.10 minutes from whales watching harbour in mirissa.I recommend and next time sure again come Awon.

    A lovely place with lovely host.The place is clean and room is big and nice garden with balcony.Good room setup.Room was excellent Nice comfortable bed and stayed cool during the date. quite location just 5 minute walk to beach.helpful manager .He was everyday arranged different manu is breakfast .so delicious .oneday i had fruit salad with Ice cream .so nice and taste .Awon manager artange so many activities in mirisa.He was arranged Raja and the whales watching is Amazing.

    Amazing hotel is Awon.Good room and balcony.big blanket ,comfortable bed and good Aircondition.The room have very big mirror .On the bed have beautiful towels decarection .Bathroom is perfect .Hair driyer ,shampoo ,soap ,face towels ,bath towels ,Hot water big shower.I never see previous hotels like this.I had good breakfast & good fresh jus .Definitely recommend you can enjoy your holiday Awon.

    Awon hotel is best,because very close to beach.walking distance maximum 5 minute .resturant and shop everything have near the main road.very clean and comfy bed in the room.bath room have hot water and everything .hotel owner is very friendly and he help arrange whales trip and masage is best.breakfast is excellent fruits and omelat is delicious .I really recommend next time coming Awon hotel.

    Great locations located very close to Mirissa Beach and many restaurant/cafe. Short Tuk Tuk ride to Weligama Beach for surfing. Hosts were very accommodating and aided us in booking whale watching tour. Great spot for a few night stopover!

    We had a really lovely stay at Awon! The room was great, really clean with air conditioning. The owner was really friendly and welcomed us when we arrived. He very kindly arranged a whale watching trip for us the next day - which was fab! The place was really quite but in a good location - only a few minutes walk from the beach. The only negative was the breakfast, which was incredibly disappointing.
