    Superb

Wow, all the staffs are so friendly and helpful! They technically help me as much as possible. And they served very good breakfast(2 toasts, 2 eggs, 2 bacons, 1 piece of tomato and cucumber). And they clean very well and have hot shower, so cool! And it locates pretty close to the shopping mall and the bus station. I definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay here. Everyone was welcoming and the accommodations provide a great atmosphere for hanging out on the patio by the pool chatting with friends new and old. Coming from high-risk South Africa we were surprised to find no safes and be able to leave our bags in the common space after checking out, however, we were assured that this is not a concern in Namibia and felt comfortable with the situation given the additional gate and other security measures. Great breakfast too!

I only stayed here for one night but after my super long slight to Windhoek it was a lovely place to stay! The staff were super friendly. The free breakfast was delicious. Other travellers staying were sociable and a mix of backpackers and locals which I enjoy. The place was clean. Sadly I didn't have time to explore Winhoek so can't comment on location, but would stay again.

Good facilities and staff. The area is very safe and not too far to walk to the centre. The dorm room was a good size.

    Very Good

I don’t like to complain about staff but when I first arrived the staff member there had a difficult time with helping us check in. We had questions about the airport taxi and she was not very helpful, and didn’t seem to understand that a taxi was needed in the morning for my friend. However I did not see her the next day and the staff was amazing! Very informative, very helpful and breakfast was good! There wasn’t a place to safely lock up valuables - but that would be my only other complaint.

Directions were completely outdated, took me over two hours to find the place and wound up having to pay a local to show me, so we started off on a poor footing. Staff were wonderful, and the cleanliness is commensurate with the price. Overall I think the stay would have been improved by a towel with my dorm room and soap in the bathrooms.

The hostel is ok. Sleeping area is clean, bathroom not that much. Nice English breakfast. It’s far from the center, you have to walk 30 minutes, but it seemed to be safe. The only really annoying thing was the TV in the common area that was playing soap operas with the volume at max, not nice after 24 hours of flights when all you want to do is sleep.

#1 complaint about this hostel: lots of mosquitos in your room, & no deterrents! No nets, no fans, no screens, no sprays. I slept very poorly every night I was there because I was plagued by mosquitos. When I asked for solutions, staff said there was nothing available & did not follow up on providing any. I stayed in 2 different rooms (in 2 different buildings!) and both had these problems. Otherwise, good 20 minute walk into town & staff made my breakfast according to dietary restrictions.

Staff are absolutely useless and straight up rude. Place has 0 atmosphere, there was about 2 guests when I was there, both of which were 40+. Would definitely not stay again, chameleon in Windhoek is much better with a much better location.
