Honestly one of the best hostels I have ever been to, which is something I wouldn't say lightly. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the hospitality was outstanding. The place and its wonderful people immediately lifted the spirit for all of us on our trip. We're coming back.

I don’t normally give 10s in reviews, but I feel in this case it is warranted. Teresa and Seamus made me feel welcome I their home and a ‘part of the family’. I highly recommend this hostel and the area. It was a great staging place to drive about and explore the beautiful area. Teresa and Seamus were extremely helpful in providing lots of information about the area and suggested places to see. They even helped me plan out my explorations in the next area of Ireland I was traveling to!

What a superb and unexpected find! Traveling alone and needed a place to lay my head for the night en route to a family event in Co Limerick from Dublin. As it turns out, I wish I could have stayed all week. Ballyhoura Hostel is a haven in a beautiful village. I had a sauna, a glass of wine by the fire, and an early night in a big comfy bed. Ready for the day ahead but reluctant to leave. The owners Séamus and Teresa are the icing on top of this cake. ‘Hostel’ has a brand new meaning!
