Summary of traveller reviews

Bev and Micks International Backpackers in Melbourne is praised for its friendly atmosphere and social vibe, making it easy to meet fellow travellers. The central location is a definite plus. However, recent reviews frequently mention issues with cleanliness and noise, particularly from the bar and common areas late at night, which can impact sleep.

Very much not clean, good vibes downstairs and it’s more of a house share more than anything. Recommend if you want to save money as it’s not far walk from the CBD

One of the worst hostels I’ve stayed at. The rooms and the common areas were dirty. Only two toilets for all the hostel and three showers. Also it seems like the people that were there where long term guests and they took over all the common area. The people at the bar/the hostel were also loud and we had difficulty to sleep. We’ve also had people steal from our food bag even though it was correctly labled. I would not recommend a stay here, I guess the good thing was the price and the location

there’s a lot of long term guests in this hostel, so the rooms were a bit of a tip with stuff everywhere. they were friendly, but i wouldn’t recommend for solo travellers / travellers trying to make friends. the long termers kept to themselves a lot and make a lot of noise and smoke at night in the common areas. the staff are lovely and toilets were all very clean with good showers. the kitchen was quite dirty and messy however, though still very usable.
