Super impressed! Favorite hostel I’ve stayed at so far. Location is ideal, close to all the important things. 6-person room is quiet enough and beds/bedding is comfy and warm. The included breakfast is the best I’ve come across, smaller than US, but seriously tasty and significantly more than the classic bread and tea offered elsewhere. The building is incredible, balcony offers great views, big kitchen with lots of burners and cookwear, bouldering wall, good WiFi. Could not recommend more!

Big mountain hostel is wonderful for the people who want to come to huaraz for hiking and exploring. The staff Arti is amazing, very kind and extremely helpful! I felt very comfortable my entire stay. Close to everything as it is right downtown but the rooms were still very quite and great for Resting before the next day. Highly recommend booking this hostel! Great value and a lovely experience :)

Big Mountain is an awesome hostel! The location is perfect- about a 2 minute walk from the bus station and the collectivo station as well as any restaurants you’d want to eat at. It is centrally located to the market, too. The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly, making it easy to feel at home very quickly- if your Spanish isn’t great (like mine) the staff speaks wonderful English. The roof terrace and breakfast in the morning made this stay even more memorable. Thanks for having us!

Well located, really close to the city center. You can find plenty of things to eat around there and the breakfast they gave us in the hostel was good. They stored our bags after the check out cause we had the lake 69 trek the last day, the staff was nice. The only problem was that in my room the shower got stuck and water wasn’t passing through the sewer system, they cleaned it up but the next day water got stuck again. Anyway, really good hostel, I would stay there again :)

A lovely hostel with lots of character! The owner will help you with whatever you need be it altitude sickness or storing bags for treks. Free breakfast in the morning basic but tasty. Would stay again!

A good place to sleep, but the toilet cleanliness could be better. The sockets are a little bad too, they don't always charge the battery.

Nothing overly wrong with the hostel. Bathroom a little dirty but nothing awful. A little outdated but beds were comfy. Kitchen facilities pretty good. Breakfast quite nice (eggs and bread and jam). Pretty good for a couple of nights stay

Good value, awesome location and friendly staff. They offer breakfast which is good but not until 8am and not on Sunday which is pretty useless considering all the treks leave before 8am (kinda the whole point of going to Huaraz). Also the kitchens locked from 10pm to 8am so you are unable to store any food over night if you are going on a trek in the morning. The room was nice and big but when we arrived its wasn't ready and looked like someone had slept in it. Very dark and not much atmosphere
