Great location, friendly staff, clean dorms + bathrooms. Showers were on the smaller side, but the hot water was great. I'd gladly return! PS - Oreo, the cat, will likely nap on your bed at some point

Great value for the location. I live in a city so noise does not bother me, but my friend had trouble sleeping with people constantly running around in the hallways, and shouting outside at the bars at night. Check-in and Check -out process is very easy. I usually opt for a private/two-person room, but the kitchen common area was very active! Great location in the city! Near a parking garage for safe overnight parking!

Great spot, Gastown is a cute part of Vancouver! Beds are really comfortable. Staff is super nice, and being attached to a bar is a good way to meet people. Only thing to note is the room only had one outlet, the showers are a little odd, & make sure you grab some free earplugs if you’re staying for the weekend. Would definitely stay again though!!

GET RID OF THE CAT! Amazing hostel. Amazing location. Great price. I really felt at home at the Cambie Hostel. However, the hostel needs to get rid of Oreo the cat! I have a severe cat allergy and wasn't able to use the common area because of my allergies that included cooking in the kitchen and hanging out at the tables. This took away from my experience. Many people have cat allergies. In my opinion, although the cat is cute, it's not hygienic to have an animal at the hostel nor fair.

This hostel is loud over the weekend due to the bar downstairs. If you want to be asleep before 3am then I'd think about somewhere else. The location was great and the hostel was clean. The common area and kitchen is not huge but is the place to meet other travellers. Overall for what I wanted the hostel for it was great!

Stopover stay in Vancouver en route up to Squamish. Good central location. We (couple) took a private room and it was fine. Comfy bed, chill checkin/out. Didn’t go to the pub downstairs but seemed cool. No complaints.

There was extremely loud music playing from the bar downstairs from the time I arrived at 6pm to 3am in the morning. It was ridiculous. I understand on a weekend, but it was a Tuesday night. I had just got back from an 11 hr flight and I was able to fall asleep eventually, but was not happy. On top of that I had to pay for the use of a towel, which I think should be included in a stay, but whatever. It was not a great experience compared to the hostels I stayed in in England.
