Summary of traveller reviews

Cambie Hostel - Gastown in Vancouver is praised for its excellent location, making it easy to explore the city. Many guests highlight the friendly and helpful staff. However, a recurring concern is the significant noise from the bar below, which can disrupt sleep, especially on lower floors. Some also mention that the facilities, particularly bathrooms, are small and could benefit from renovation.

Inform folks of the actual location relative to parts of town that are less than suitable for tourists especially at night. As well as the loud ass music until 3am 3 nights in a row. There is no reason for it to be that loud it doesn’t need to be heard on the third floor. No wonder no one can hear anything the following morning who was down at the bar. Obscenely loud music. The cleanliness, staff and security are all super helpful but otherwise I would mark this a lot lower than 4.9 more like 2

the one redeeming quality about this place is the discount you get at the poppin bar downstairs. other than that, this is the loudest hostel ive ever stayed at. hot and stuffy at night during the summer with only a fan to push cool air. the cats are cute though very expensive for what it was

Great location, a block a way from the steam clock and 5 minutes walk to Waterfront station and other public transportation. The facility is very old. My blanket was filthy dirty. Only 1 bathroom on each floor with 2 toilets and showers which are very small. There’s barely enough room to bend down to pick up anything you dropped.. There’s a club downstairs. It’s very loud until late in the morning. Ear plugs will help minimize the noise a little bit. Don’t expect much from this hostel.
