The accommodations are really nice for a hostel. However, I did book a female only dorm and still was put into a mixed one which was a bit annoying but I'm not too bothered by it. The staff and owner are really friendly and even surprised my friend with a cake on her birthday! The beds were really comfy which was a big plus for me.

Good hostel overall, but the water and A/C kept shutting off. The bathrooms weren't very clean, but the location is good and the staff is very nice.

The hostel receptionist wasn’t very friendly. We were the only two of three people staying so there was no atmosphere. My friend thought there was mouse poo down the side of her bed. The beds were comfy though. Showers was also warm and nice. Just a bit creepy and dark as no one was staying there.

I was in a 6 bed female dorm and noticed my pillow was covered in mold.. I thought about using my towel as a pillow until I grabbed the blanket and noticed it was so damp, it made me cough. I couldn’t stay.

Went on a low season so the hostel was empty. We were placed in a smaller room which wasn't what we reserved. The room was not clean and the sheets and blanket smelt like mould. The sink was broken in the washroom and the washroom was not very clean. Had to check out early and go to a hotel next door. The location of the hostel was good and the staff were friendly but the living conditions were not good.

Would of been OK if i didnt witness the owner beat his son up with bamboo and punching him non stop. Over a seat not sure on the laws out here but infront of his guest and even behind closed doors that is not right made me so angry and nothing i could do, as im English would of threw the key away in these prisons horrible to see.

the building was build as a restaurant part of a hotel, not as hostel. they have glass walls and face the main road without courtains, so that, as early as 6 a.m. the light will not let you sleep. as in any other chinese owned plac wen you arrive all are welcomes and smiles but at the second day, wen they see you dont spend, spend, spend in food, drinks, tours or whatever the smiles disapear. they did not serve me the breackfast for 10 minutes late,,,!!

The staff was nice and the free breakfast was great. However, the bathrooms are extremely old and dirty, the sinks spills out the bottom and the hostel rooms are very humid. I used my towels as a blanket rather than to sleep with the ones provided, and opted out of using the pillow. The entire facility is old and worn down; the pictures provided are of the nicest rooms, and do not represent what you will probably be sleeping in. I left after one night.

Unfortunately while being a budget hostel this one was far below standard. Although the beds were comfy and seemed cleaned the bathroom room, particularly the showers, were disgusting and smelt horrible. The owner tries hard but comes across a little pushy and weird, I think his son slept in the dorm room both nights I was there and he spends all day in there too. You can get much better value for your money on the island and the sea front location is not worth it. Stay somewhere else.

The duve smelled really badly, bathrooms were disgusting. If you want to eat breakfast there, better have more than an hour because they take their time. Wifi was not working most of the time and also we've had a lot of problems with aircondition. The owner was really unhelpful. At the end we left our luggage in storage room and someone went through my stuff, gladly nothing is missing but don't leave any valuables in your luggage if you are leaving it there, or better don't go to this hostel.
