Super nice hostel, great staff, the family style dinners have been super tasty. The location makes it rare and special, as one lives deeply in the jungle. As a tradeoff, one has to face more bugs and the prices are a bit higher, which is reasonable. Absolutely recommended if you wanna get out for a while :-)

Such a beautiful place with just the most amazing staff. Perfect if you're looking to experience the jungle and relax. The family dinners are incredible and once again the staff are the best. Some of the best views too. Special shout out to the 3 M's (Mia, Mini, and Malika) 😄😄😄

This place is 100% worth the journey! The 30 minute trek in the jungle in the dark isn’t easy but just do it, it pays off! The staff are great, it’s a lovely atmosphere, the food is delicious but you can also make your own if you’re on a budget! The views are unreal! We stayed in one of the 4 bed dorms, it’s a little far from the showers/toilet but it wasn’t a problem at all! We only wish we could have stayed longer!!

The vibe was great! Really fun little hostel with a family feeling. Loved the kitchen set up, and the food was great. It was a great experience over all, however we did witness the owner kicking and throwing a dog that entered the property which tarnished the experience a little bit.

This place will give you the true jungle feeling. Perfect if you want to relax, have amazing breakfast/dinner and love to jump in the river nearby. The hike up here is totally worth it. Perfect place if you are vegan! (Thanks for the delicious food!!). Realy enjoyed the chocolate workshop, tubing down the river and hanging out in the hammocks with the dogs and cat. Also, don’t forget baby Malika, she is just the cutest. Hard to leave this gem. Keep up the good work Ana and Lea!

Word of caution for those considering, this hostel is not for everyone. But if you’re like me and love hiking, adventure, tranquility, and immersing yourself in nature, then Chi Bocol is amazing! It’s a bit of a hike in/out and facilities are basic, but that’s all part of the jungle experience! The staff were lovely and I particularly enjoyed the family dinners each night. Plus the community kitchen is well stocked! Tubing back to the hostel from Semuc Champey was such a cool activity also!

Okay, so if you want to have what I wanted you will have great time. Location in the jungle, only a few people, destination to enjoy nature and sounds of the jungle. If you want to hangout, be near Lanquin or near other people this is not for you. To get here in the final stage you need to walk 25 minutes through following the jungle path. For me, great location and I would definetly returned here.

It’s a nice place as they are just starting but they need to sort out the path to the hostel it’s a lot of work when you have the bags and especially in the dark and the rooms need abit of work as on the last night we were about to go to bed we saw a few cockroaches and a scorpion in the room so was abit hard to sleep knowing that was there
