This is a hostel with a great location and staff. The rooms are queit and clean with massive lockers. There are two spa pools which is fantastic. The only draw backs are there is only 1 plug socket in the room, the spa pools are right next to the smoking area so you have to walk through people's smoke to get to the spa, and the free breakfast in provided in the reception so you have to take it upstairs to make your toast but then go back down to put spread on top, you also have to hire cutlery.

Great location, really friendly staff and much needed air-con in the rooms. They offer free breakfast (coffee, bread, butter and jam) but you have to take it up to the kitchen to prepare. The atmosphere was also quiet since this hostel doesn't have a bar or pool (you can freely use those facilities at their other hostel). However I saw two cockroaches (one in my room) and the cleaning only consisted of emptying the bins and quickly mopping the dorm floor. A little more cleaning would be great!

The hostel was very basic but perfect for a few nights in the Centre of Darwin. If you’re not as much of a party person then chillis is a lot quieter as it doesn’t have a bar attached to it. On the other hand if you want a quiet place to sleep but want to go out too, bars and pubs are literally across the road. Best of both worlds!

Kitchen disappointing. Pots and pans not always clean. We had meals that didn't involve cooking. Staff excellent. Great location and despite street noise rooms were quiet. Dorms very cramped but ok. Enormous lockers which helped in dorms. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here just before they closed for renovations and the place was so dirty, I was the only person in my dorm and when I checked in the floor was covered in hair, sink had scum and bathroom was pretty dirty. Maybe they had given up on cleaning as they were closing soon, hopefully it’s better after renos.

Atmosphere is a bit weird. Many longterm guests - not much mingling. But the staff definitely compensaties for that. Especially the Dutch woman at the reception and the guys from the traveldesk are so much fun! Not a party hostel but the parties are right next door. Whirlpools on the terrace are great - only too bad the water wasn’t warm (luxury problems, I know :-)).

Great place to be in the centre of nightlife, however you can hear the noise of the bars so loudly until around 4am. Kitchen was ok, quiet hostel

Tiny and cheap, but I didn't stay long and it did the job. No towel which was a bummer. Seems like making your own bed and insufficient power outlets is a trend in Australia, but otherwise great location, big kitchen, nice shared spaces.

Carpets in the corridor had vomit all over it, bathrooms quite clean. Dorms small but clean. Good location, on mitchell st, close to everything. Would recommend if staying for 1 or 2 nights.

Disabled toilet can’t be locked but management don’t want to fix. Cold showers only, nowhere to put anything in the shower except one hook. Just before I left I discovered they have open air spa baths. Staff don’t inform you of much. Had to wait an hour to get booked room but still had to leave at ten the next morning. Door key had to be tried many times to get it to work and if you had your fingers in the door their automatic closing system would do some serious damage. Tv didn’t work and nigh
