We really enjoyed our stay at Clyde! The staff was very helpful and friendly, the bed and facilities were comfortable, and Clyde the dog was a great bonus.

Clyde Hostel is a great hostel for backpackers. The kitchen and common area are terrific for meeting people, and the location is good with everything being up to 20-30 mins away by foot (and 5 minutes away from the train station). The showers could use renovation, but they're not as bad as the comments here make them out to be. All-in-all, had a great experience, will definitely stay there again when in Glasgow!

A typical backpackers hostel with a mildly eclectic character. Friendly staff, easy check in and check out (even with support early check out at 5am). Basic accommodations but clean and good bake for money! I'd stay here again ☺️

Hostel was in a very good location and very easy to get to. The staff was very friendly upon check-in and getting greeted by a dog is very nice. The facilities were ok just not the best. The only other downside is that the street can be noisy if you are trying to sleep

Clyde Hostel is meant for a quick, cheap stay. I would not want to stay longer than one or two nights. The staff was helpful in figuring out my booking after it went wrong, and even gave me a place to store my bag even though I didn’t have a bed. The location is great.

The staff was helpful. A small common area. Uber there from the bus station for around £6. No individual plug for each bed. Not enough bathrooms. It was the cheapest hostel for the weekend.

Was good for the money, but showers and kitchen were kind of unclean. Fine for one or two nights

The wifi didn’t work up on the 2nd floor. The window in my room leaked water and had mould growing on it. So the floor was always wet. The bathroom had only one toilet seat that worked, the other was ripped off. Their card machine does not work so you can’t pay credit- so have cash.

    - Duvet and pillow smelled of man's perfume - lockers were very dirty: dust, litter - Only 2 showers for the whole hostel, third was clogged. One out of the two was mouldy. - Repeatedly had to ask for toilet paper as the staff wasn't checking it regularly - loud music until 2 AM - staff/volunteer sleeping in our room didn't mind slamming door during the night... while all other guests were mindful when entering/ leaving the room - silently + check in: the receptionist was kind and helpful
