A proper good backpacking hostel. Doesn't meet standards of modern hostels but great value for money and bags of character :-)

    Fabulous

Writing this because I read the other reviews and, to be honest, arrived almost scared at the hostel. It seems so much worse reading what some people wrote here than it really is. Staff and everyone I met were super friendly, they had a really chill lounge with games, books and phone chargers everywhere and a really good equipped kitchen. You can have a hot shower, and sleep in a clean and warm bed. For me that's more than enough considering the cost per night of this place. Loved it.

    Very Good

The hostel did the job but a few things were off. The toilet was a little gross and missing a seat. Mostly, some of our group had a negative interaction with the owner.

Just lacking basic hostel requirements (eg a clean bathroom on each floor and charges next to the beds) good for one night

Wifi doesn't work in the rooms. The people are nice enough, but reception opened 15 minutes late on the day I checked out. Also, there was a mouse running around in my room, so there are presumably a bunch more. Recommendation to avoid.

Bit of a let down. The photos in the ad of a bar are obviously from a previous time or owner. There is no bar in the current hostel. While it was a Monday night there was no atmosphere at all and no attempt by the staff to improve the experience or refer to things happening in town. Require cash payments under a certain amount and dont care about security for bags before checkin. I stayed in a 4 bedroom room, the single shower and two toilets were shared with 2 or 3 other rooms on the floor.

Quite possibly one of the worst hostels I’ve ever stayed in for a plethora reasons. Our bed sheets were turned inside out and were stained. They’d clearly been slept in already. The bedrooms don’t have blinds or curtains so it’s quite hard to sleep. The cherry on top was the battle axe at reception. She aggressively insisted I received an email stating I needed a passport to check in which turned out to be completely untrue. The only redeeming feature is the cute dog at reception.

Extremely dirty, ugly, old and the location was in a bad neighbourhood. The room was very bad, stinks, with garbage, the beds were still with the previous guests blankets, we gave to change everything. The living room was also full of dust, carpets, kitchen. Everything was a very bad experience.

This hostel is pathetic. They have shown completely different images on the site. The place is not at all clean, washroom is in bad condition. We had to wash our hands with cold water in the sink, because cold water was coming from the hot water tap. I will not recommend this hostel to any one at all.
