Property Description

De'Native Guest House is a simple guesthouse with all the basic necessities required by our guest. We are located in the forest so do expect various insects all around our premises. We typically get backpackers and younger crowd staying at our place but families are welcome too.

The main building is a 100-year-old colonial bungalow, which was formally occupied by British high ranking officers during the war in the early 50′s. This is one of many colonial bungalows which still dot the hills of Cameron Highlands. Not many people get a chance to stay in one of these old buildings.

We have a common kitchen which is free for our guest to use. We also have free Wi-Fi and the barbecue pit for use. There is also a bonfire which we have almost every night.

1. Check in from 2pm and check out until 12 noon.
2. Cash only upon arrival.
3. Cancellation policy: At least a 2-day advance notice before the arrival date is required.
4. We have minimum stay of 2 nights consecutively. View House Rules

I loved my stay in this hostel. Krish was such an amazing host and the best cook. He went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed and was comfortable. The location is perfect as it's just out of the main town but it's so easy to walk anywhere you need to. There is 5 dogs that live here which is so nice to come back to after a day of hiking. I can't wait to come back here

We had a really good time here. The staff and owner are really friendly helpful with everything, they made us feel really welcome. It's situated in a quiet place, but still walking distance from the center/main street. If we would be in Cameron Highlands again in the future, we definitely go back to De'Native Guest House. Advice: don't trust Google Maps, just ask around or contact the Guest House. Krish and Hajer, thanks a lot!

My 2 friends and I planned to stay 2 nights at the De'Native guesthouse, however we had such an amazing time here, we ended up staying for 5 nights! The hostel owner, Krish, was extremely helpful and welcoming, he couldn't do enough for us. He pointed out the best local restaurants to visit and even invited us to a local Hindu celebration with his friends, who made us feel part of their friendship group straight away, the whole experience of staying at Krish's was so special and memorable!

This hostel in the middle of Cameron Highlands in Malaysia is an incredible lovely place to stay! As was stated on website, a bonfire was made every single night. The hostel owner Krish was present every night. A lovely guy with interesting stories to tell. The place would fill itself many nights with hostel guests and locals who had a drink and a talk by the fire. To round it up: I would recommend everybody to head down to Da’Native. It’s definitely been one of the best experiences I had!

We felt very welcome and enjoyed the stay. Chris is awesome and helped wherever it was needed. He took well care of us, we had so much fun with him! We could also play pool and use the outside Kitchen and the bar. It's close to the city center you can walk (5-10 Minutes). Enjoyed the BBQ with Chris and his friends and had great Campfires. Hugs to Nezi :) Greetings from Belgium, Austria and Germany

Lovely rustic hostel in the hills of the Cameron Highlands. The room I stayed in was in a barn which I loved but it does get quite cold at night. Materialism is not what this hostel is about at all, so go here with an open mind & you will hopefully love it as much as I did. Sitting around the fire outside at night with other travellers & all the hostel dogs was what I will always associate & remeber about my stay. It was unique & lovely! I would stay again.

Turned up to the hostel late due to traffic. It is out of the way, about 1km from town. Turned up to find our reserved beds had been given away. Very disappointed as I thought that was the whole point of reserving! Another 10 people also showed up apparently also booked. Luckily there was 1 spare bed and one of the volunteers working there gave up his bed for us but everyone else had to sleep on the floor. Turns out there’s no running water on the property, toilets disgusting. Do not stay here!
