Summary of traveller reviews

Safestay Bratislava Presidential Palace offers a convenient location near the train station, though it's a walk from the city centre. While some guests found the staff friendly, others reported rudeness and unhelpfulness. Cleanliness is a recurring issue, with many reviews mentioning dirty bathrooms, rooms, and even bed bugs. Several guests also noted a lack of privacy and security, with small lockers and poorly maintained facilities. The property is best suited for budget travellers seeking a basic place to sleep.

Staff are friendly and helpful, my room was nice and spacious but there was no plug sockets by bed and my top bunk didn't seem the most secure

I had booked just one night at the presidential “safe”stay. I had booked an all female 6 bed room. It was manageable until I realised that there were more guests then listed staying in the room… those guest sharing the bed with me and crawling on me. If you’re lonely you’ll definitely make here at the presidential hostel, as long as you’re okay with them sleeping with you and having six legs🪳. I spoke to reception who weren’t surprised by the bedbugs, weren’t apologetic and gave me a new room.

No rooftop terrace which was described on the website. Doors didn’t close properly. Bathrooms were filthy. Mold everywhere in the bathrooms. Dirty stains all over the bathroom walls. A lot of old men staying there not ideal for young girls who are travelling. Shared a female room with a strange atmosphere from the second I entered the dorm. Not a social hostel at all. Do not recommend at all
