Property Description

What do you look for in a hostel?

Imagine you walk into a hostel and someone comes over to you, shakes your hand and introduces you to a table filled with people that are actually talking to 1 another. Then you have a look at the bar prices and see its 10Q Brahva's all day everyday. You sit down with a beer in hand and enjoy the people on that tables company over a 30Q family style hostel dinner, again everybody seems to be actually talking to 1 another.

There's a guy with bleach in his hair creating an atmosphere that has everybody smiling, laughing & once again talking to each other. You learn a lot of new ways how to have a fun time with new people. The next thing you know its time to head out at 10:30pm cause there are some that want to go out but there are some that want to sleep as well. The night is a funny 1 because you head out as 1 big group and dance the night away.

When you wake up in the morning the shower is 1 of the best on your trip through Central America. You head to the kitchen, grab yourself a free coffee & enjoy the view from the common room or rooftop terrace. 1 of the guys with bleach in his hair is asking you how did you sleep? You tell him the mattress was absolutely amazing and you slept like a log. How funny was last night!? He replies with 'this is what we do'.

We are a social hostel that make it easy for you to meet other people. Yet there is so much more that we care about. Make sure you come meet Luke, Gunny, Pampa, Mitch & the Dreamboat Team. You will not be disappointed.

This is such a a fun hostel located right near the lake in Panajachel. As soon as you walk in the staff makes you feel so welcome, and there is a family dinner every night as well as very cheap drinks at the bar. There is a great kitchen and all the rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Best gay hostel in Central America!!

Nice Hostel right on an alley off the main drag...decent bar onsite nice rooftop patio...staff is friendly. My only real complaint is the layout. You pay more for a fancy private room, but it is located right next to one of the dorm rooms. Why they didn’t locate all the dorm rooms close to each other & the privates by each other is a mystery to me. We had a bunch of loud drunken noise next to our room for some time...we were exhausted from traveling & passed out, but it might bother some.

To quickly cover the basics, the location is great, facilities are nice and clean, water is hot, etc.. What makes this hostel truly stand out is the staff. They manage to create an very social and fun atmosphere while at the same time never being obnoxious like some party hostels are. I have rarely felt more welcome at a hostel. Side note: San Pedro introduced a no noise rule after 11pm and my impression was that Panajachel has thus become the better choice for going out at night.

This hostel could probably be great for socialising but when I was there it was quite flat for most nights. Though the one night I had to get up early it was busy and our room had a window right into the common area so it was loud even when shut - but you probably want it open for some cool air else it gets pretty hot and there's no fans or AC. We shared 1 bathroom with many other people and there was always a queue no matter the time. Nice location though and staff are friendly and helpful.
