This is a great hostel! I stayed in winter and it was so quiet that I got an entire dorm to myself! There are good size lockers in the dorm rooms and plenty of shower and toilet facilities and showers are hot with good water pressure. Kitchens are spacious. FREE washing machines and as much free fruit as you like from the fruit trees. Ample parking space too. John, the manager is really friendly and happy to help - be sure to ask him about the stories behind the license plates in the office.

The friendlist staff of any hostel I've stayed at. You can tell they really value the place and want you to feel welcome. It isn't just about busniess. The location was great, very peaceful and not too far away from the city centre. Overall I had a fantastic stay

Cute place, tiny bit far out from Hastings. Really nice owner, ready to advise you on everything to do. Free apples and a lovely Woodburner in the kitchen to keep you warm :)

So long as it's a back backers you are after then this will suit you. My visit was during the winter so the grounds were muddy. It was not spotlessly clean, but the floor, benches were mopped and wiped daily. It was lovely and warm both in the kitchen & lounge and my room.

Room and bathroom was ok got put in a room with people on a working holiday so 0 atmosphere. The rest of the hostel was a absolute hole! How I imagine a homeless shelter would look. As for it being eco other then the water coming from a well I think the rest is utter b.s nothing eco about the place apart from a few trees. 9 months of travelling its top 3 worst hostels

This place is absolutely disgusting. I walked in to a check-in office full of everything from hammers and power tools to license plates. The owner couldn't find my booking confirmation or my keys. My room smelled bad. One of the employees lived in the room as well and her belongings were everywhere. It didn't even look like the room was cleaned. I only had a comforter that smelled. The kitchen, bathroom, and lounge were all utterly disgusting. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
