My friend and I had the best stay at Botz place! Such an amazing place, amazing owner and very homy atmosphere. It’s located in a small village in the mountains and the view is absolutely stunning. I would definitely recommend everyone to spend at least one night in this beautiful place :)

Ian is a very good welcoming and interesting person. His hostel was very charming and so much cosy and the landscape at the balcony was awesome. This hostel is about 10 min to Ronda across the mountains and for me was the best experience ever about hostels. At the arrival, a swimming pool is for citizens and for us freely and all the day. Really thank you for everything. Sincerely, I recommend him without problem.

Not my favorite hostel ever, but solid. A little tricky to get to in a car (but not impossible), just know that you can't park at the hostel and will have to navigate tricky lanes and park about half a mile away. Great staff, nice private rooms with patios (the drain in the floor smelled a little, but covering it with a shoe made the little patio quite nice). Nice common areas and kitchen.

We stayed one night at Refugio Hostel as a group of 5 people and we had a super good time there! Ian is a very helpful and friendly host, we had a great night together talking, singing, and drinking, we all enjoyed it a lot! We asked for breakfast which was delicious and diverse. Totally recommend this place! :)

This place is such a gem! It’s a 300 year old building in a tiny village outside of Ronda- I thought it was nice to be outside of town a bit. The location is awesome if you have your own transportation. Botz is a great cook and gracious host and is so easy to talk to! Thanks!

El Refugio hostel is in the beautiful little village of Cartajima just south of the now very touristy Ronda. It's a very old house with a big log fireplace. Botz made us very welcome and entertained us with music and talk into the night. Very helpful with hiking routes and local knowledge. The area is great for walks/hikes and nature lovers.
