i see a lot of hostel reviews complaining about things that are simply part of travelling amongst different cultures and mostly those reviewers should toughen up. but if you aren’t keen on an “adventurous” hostel experience without surprises, this excellent facility is probably your best bet in Naples. all their information is accurate and all their stuff works

I almost never leave a review, but this place was so great that I need to leave a review! The location, even though not in Napoli, is actually better if you want to visit the Vesuvius, pompeii, or head down to Sorrento and it's a short ride to Napoli. The price is very good for the facilities and the people who stay in the hostel are AMAZING. But the best thing about this place is the staff, i felt they treated me like family! They gave me food, helped me when I lost my phone and even guided me!

Loved our stay here, even though it is out of Naples it is nice to see more authentic Italian life and the location is great, close to the train station. It was quiet whilst we were there which was perfect and we had our 5 bed dorm all to ourselves!! Defo recommend to stay here :)

The staff was really nice and helped me out when I needed to get to the airport. Remember to plan ahead, as the trains don't run through Portici as frequently as you may think. Overall great value for the price, pretty clean, and friendly staff. Wifi is really fast in the common areas and outside. I would recommend this hostel!

    Very Good

    05 Oct 2018
Location was great. Room smelled a bit odd, and the bedding is not very comfortable. I was there over a weekend, and the place had a bit of a ghost town feel to it. Really cheap beer but no free breakfast (3 EUR - so not terrible). Some of the lights in the bathroom didn't work, and most of the toilet seats did not have rings to sit on. Overall, Fabric is a functional hostel, but not one of the best I ever stayed at.

The staff were very nice and welcoming. One of them went out of his way to cook a plate of spaghetti and marinara sauce for me. The dorm room I was in was okay. One light and one plug-in per bed. The linens were clean. Nice lockers. I was ravaged by insect bites while sleeping there. The shared bathroom needed some help. None of the locks on the stall doors were operational and may not have been for a very long time given their rusted appearance. Most of the toilets did not have a seat.

Staff were really nice and the communal area was heaps big so could chill there with the pool table. Everything else was heaps basic in terms of kitchen, paper plates, old cooker & microwave. Needs an update. The bathrooms were clean and big though which was nice. They had a cat and on some seats though I could smell cat pee. My blankets weren’t the cleanest either and the pillow was pretty old. The staff were lovely and helpful though. It was pretty dead atmosphere, you get what you pay for

When we arrived in our room it became obvious that it had been smoked in. There were several things broken, like the handle to the window, the light switches and the table. The kitchen is poorly equipped. There was only throw away things. And by the signs that were stuck everywhere it came apparent that the owners don’t trust their guests to care for the hostel. I believe for groups the price value and the large facility is appropriate but for couples it’s not recommendable.

I’m sorry but I just did not like it. Blood in the toilets, mould in the shower and I was covered in bites after one nights stay. I left 3 days early to go back to Rome as I did not feel relaxed here at all. The only benefit are the helpful staff. A shame.
