A decent hostel, worth the price you pay. A short walk from Roma Termini, and a longer walk from most other things but that didn’t worry me. Happy hour in the evening was really nice - I met many people and had a great time. The staff were great - really helpful and kind. The bathrooms weren’t the best - smelly and old, but not a dealbreaker. I’d come back again if I was in Rome!

Overall a good hostel, the free croissant and coffee in the morning and then the free servings of wine at night time are nice because you don’t have to buy breakfast and the wine is good for the social aspect of getting people together. The staff are moody like people say but that’s just Italy in general! It’s not personal.. I think. Showers are weirdly intermittent, it’s fine when the water is running but sometimes you turn the tap on and have to wait for minutes for water to come out 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Very Good

A lovely hostel right next to the biggest train and bus terminal. Great location in a relatively safe district. A little far from the night life centre, but the busses are running pretty often. The staff is friendly and easygoing, haven’t had any complaints. Room is furnished to the minimum, however all the necessities are included. The kitchen and common area might need a little more attention and a deep cleaning. AC was only working during the nighttime which caused some inconvenience.

Had a nice stay at Freedom Traveller. The staff we spoke with were nice, and the free wine in the evenings makes for a nice social atmosphere. The dorm we were in was very hot, particularly at night. The staff were helpful and turned on the air conditioner for us, but unfortunately it would only work for a short while before turning off again. You get what you pay for, cheaper prices and in a good location in the city, but not very clean so it can be tricky to relax and feel at home here.

This place has serious problems with their water pumps. You want to drink water? Sometimes you can, sometimes you cannot. You want to shower? Be ready for the water to stop unexpectedly. The staff wasn't rude but they didn't have no answers. "Just hold the tap open for a few minutes, it'll be fine" - well, it wasn't fine. and it happened for 2 days in a row. *They don't turn on the AC until 6pm, and Roma is hot as inferno during daytime. *The lockers in my room were completely broken

Freedom Traveller says

I think one of the things our guests really appreciate about our hostel is our wonderful outdoor garden - it's a rarity here in the centre of Rome. We organise happy hours every evening, with free wine and snacks.
Within 20 minutes' walk you will get to the Roman Forum, Piazza di Spagna and the Trevi Fountain - and within 10 minutes you can get to Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica! I particularly recommend visiting the medieval neighbourhood of Trastevere.
Our hostel is perfect for all kind of travellers, as long as they're laid back and want to have fun. We get guests aged anywhere between 20 and 40 but the majority are in their 20s. We also cater for people with disabilities as the first floor of our hostel is facilitated for people in wheelchairs. Johnny, Manager
