Greengo's in Semuc Champey is a jungle paradise, praised for its stunning location just a short walk from Semuc Champey. Guests love the vibrant social atmosphere, the beautiful pool, and the delicious food. The staff are frequently highlighted as friendly and helpful, contributing to a great overall experience. Some recent reviews mention noise from dorms near the social areas and the cost of food due to the remote location, but the majority sentiment remains overwhelmingly positive, making it ideal for travellers seeking both social interaction and natural beauty.

Beautiful hostel and walking distance to semuc champey but it’s pretty weird. The manager is really rude - stole my charger because it was accidentally plugged into the wrong bed! The food is good but they have a strict no outside food policy so you have to eat there and it’s not that cheap (some people said they have searched bags for food before). My top bunk bed was pretty dirty when I arrived with some dead flies on it. Decent place to stay for a night or two, don’t stay longer!

Great property However it would have been nice to know that there is a 1,000 cash deposit required or else they take ur passports! Hostel world description says 500 deposit

Very few backpacking hostels live up to their rep… but this one does. Great location, amazing staff, good food, and lots of activities! Safe and secure in the jungle. Of course the food can be pricey for a low budget backpacker, but everything about this hostel is off grid in the middle of a jungle, that’s not cheap to make or maintain. The rest makes up for it. They expanding too, so keep a look out for more rooms! Btw, Semuc Champey is amazing and an easy walk down the hill!
