We’re the only travelers’ accommodation within Fort Mason, a popular stretch of National Park land right on the San Francisco Bay. Wake up to the sound of fog horns on the water and drink your morning coffee with a view of Alcatraz. You won’t find a more peaceful spot in the city!

A licensed concessionaire of the National Park Service, HI San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf Hostel is housed in a historic building surrounded by park land. Easily walk from the hostel to Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39, Crissy Field, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Fort Mason Pavilion and other convention buildings, the Marina District, and multiple bus lines serving neighborhoods and landmarks throughout the city.

Efficiently-run, Clean, & Conveniently located. I like the free parking, but didn't realize it's a bit of a hike from the available parking to the front door. If I was checking in earlier, when it was still light, and I weren't, so exhausted, it would have been ok, though.

Far exceeded expectations as a first time solo female traveler staying in a hostel. All the staff helpful & friendly, great kitchen with everything you need, bathrooms always clean, lovely sitting area with fire for cosy evenings, lovely relaxed atmosphere, The location is something else! The pictures really don’t do this hostel justice. I’m so glad I took the chance and stayed here best decision of the trip met some lovely people too ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
