Great spot to meet other amazing backpackers from around the world. Lovely planned group activities such as the sunset bonfire. A nice spot to relax/meet folks/party, yet be away from the crazy hubub of downtown

Nothing to say! The staff is great, rooms are clean, pool is nice and they offer different activities every day of the week. It’s not far from the city (5-10 min walk) and you can also take their free shuttle every hour to get downtown. I also took a surf lesson with the hostel, loved it. Would recommend it for sure!

Heracio and the team at Hola Ola are amazing! I personally wouldn’t stay anywhere except here in San Juan. They are a 5 minute walk to town and have a chill family vibe. I recommend the family dinners as well as the beach barbecues. Heracio will always go above and beyond for his guests. Giuseppi.

Short stay but we loved it. Staff and volunteers all super friendly and have created a great atmosphere at the hostel. There are daily events and food and decent priced beach shuttles. Hourly evening shuttles to the town centre (its a bit far to walk). Came out enjoying it even more than our initial high expectations.

The staff and activities here are great super warm and friendly and go out of their way to help, always a beach trip every day and nightly stuff too so it's easy to socialise but it's also not forced upon you so if you want to do your own thing that's fine too! Pool is great.

Excellent hostel with a great chilled out vibe. Plenty of different activities run daily, we went to the Sunset Fest and Fish BBQ. Perfect mix between a chilled out hostel but lots of activities to do, as opposed to an out and out party hostel. Really enjoyed our stay!

I stayed for three nights and bought the surf package. The meals cooked by the volunteers were great and they made special effort to accommodate my dietary requirements. Surf lessons were really good. Only drawback was the six bed dorm feeling quite cramped. Nice hostel to meet people if travelling alone.

Friendly staff, pretty place with a pool and community area. I slept really well. It's a little out of town but it's a quick walk through the beach.

Lovely atmosphere and the staff are friendly and attentive with good intentions but it seems a little disorganised overall. The menu is fairly limited & a little expensive in comparison to other places in Nicaragua but tasty food. The rooms are basic but cleaned regularly and the rooms with AC are luxury (when working). There are regular shuttles to town in the evening or it is a short walk away. The shuttles are often a bit later or disorganised though. Still would recommend.

    Very Good

Staff was awesome! Location was nice because it was close to the beach and pretty close to downtown. Hostel had lots of options to do during the day. Only two things I didn’t really like was the dorm rooms don’t lock, so your stuff isn’t secure. There is small lockers but that’s it. And there is no guest kitchen to use.
