This was my favorite hostel I have EVER stayed at. People often write “I felt at home, like I was with family”, but the beautiful people working here surpassed any expectations. I came for a night and stayed for 7. A big part of this was due to my stay at La Isla. Such warmth, amazing attention and love put into every aesthetic part of the space, super clean everything, fires in the evenings... I didn’t want to leave! THANK YOU! The humans at La Isla and San Cristobal forever have my heart!

I had the best stay at La Isla! All the staff were so welcoming and friendly (especially Oman) and it felt like a little family as soon as we arrived. We had family dinner on Saturday night which was delicious. The hostel is a good mix of chilling and party, with lots of lovely communal spaces to hang out in. It’s really easy to meet people as the staff create an environment where everyone feels at ease :) I loved it so much I only came for a couple of days but stayed nearly a week!

Super cozy hostel with warm welcoming home vibe. The staff is super friendly and make sure the place is always spotless clean. Because of this it also attracts the nicest backpacker crowd. And it’s just a 2 min walk to a lot of nice bars and restaurants. If you are looking for a chill home on your travels this is where you should go. xT.

Really nice hostel in a good location. Practise your Spanish you’ll need it here :) only concern facility wise was that there weren’t enough bathrooms, this wasn’t a problem whilst we were here as it dairy quiet but may be in peak time. Beautifully decorated hostel with nice free breakfast (muesli and fruit, and toast). Would recommend.

Really nice common areas and chill! But there are a lot of cats everywhere on the sofas, so beware if you're allergic. Plus, the private ensuite is tiny, you hear from it everything from the noisy bar below at night, and it also doesnt look so clean.

Location was great, it looked really cool and the staff were nice, but the whole place smelled eyewateringly of cat piss. 2 showers and 4 toilets in the whole place so there was always a queue. Dorms were pretty cramped and there was zero atmosphere unless you spoke Spanish. We went and stayed at a nicer AirBnb that was cheaper.
