Had a fantastic experience at La Isla. One of the most memorable hostels. Great staff, breakfast, clean, great location, yoga is brilliant. And all these elements attract some fantastic people too. I volenteered there and had such a great time. Would highly recommend to anyone :)

This hostel is a gem! Best vibe, best people, great location, nice rooms. We were sleeping in the pods and they are very comfortable, enough space, private. Hot water, wifi works. You also get a small but delicious and healthy breakfast. The people there are amazing and they are what makes this hostel great! They also organize free yoga and meditation classes every week and twice a week they have cacao ceremonies. We went on a Saturday and had a really nice and heart opening experience! ❤️

The vibe here was very strange with the volunteers and people staying long term. Felt very unwelcome- other people arriving when I did, expressed the same feeling. The breakfast is good but a joke the quantity they give you, esp of pancakes- three pancakes 5cm across! Also the bunk beds are the worst. If you move a muscle they shake, literally! All of this wasn’t great, but it was the weird vibes from people staying long term that made me write this. Of course that can change completely with different people there. But volunteers should be trained to make people feel welcome. Not like you are intruding on their personal space when in fact you are in a hostel and a guest in a shared environment. Weird and clicky.
