Cute hostel right in front of the beach owned by the most accommodating husband and wife! They are super sweet, if you’re going to eat food at their restaurant it is really good! If you are a tourist you’re going to want to take bug spray because the mosquitos will get ya! Breakfast was included and it was delicious!

My time in El Paredon was a visit to another dimension. Things did not go so smoothly, however, I can say the staff at Mi Casa went out of their way to help me. They were genuinely concerned for me and helped in every way they could. I am truly grateful for these beautiful people.

Carlos and his wife were great hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and comfortable. Food was great and very well sized. Rooms were well kept and we had no problems.

PersonThe location is great (a few meters from the beach), they have parking, a pool, a bar, and the personnel was nice. The only thing is that you can not use the kitchen (in case you plan to cook your own meals), and I didn't see any lockers inside the dorms.

Beach vibe. Staff was pretty unorganized. You can kind of expect what you will get. My bed was really uncomfortable though.

Mixed experience Pros: great location, lovely volunteers, good breakfast, cheap beer (5Q) Cons: private room had no lock on door and all lockers were full. Member of staff came into our room and randomly took a pillow (also, guest before us had had their stuff packed up without their permission as they were being moved rooms). Bed bugs/ ants in bed (although we were moved after we told them which was nice). Private room had no windows so was effectively open air so lots of mosquitos!

I couldn’t recommend this hotel. Staff was extremely unfriendly. As we arrived no one from locals wasn’t communicating to us. Just showed us the door of the room and disappeared. We had to ask for the keys to the room, wifi password and the lady in the kitchen (one of owners probably) just all the time sent us to search another people to ask with no more interest at all. Breakfast was poor. WiFi was very low and didn’t work more than half of the stay. Water in the showers was salty too.

there was no lock on the door of my private room or locker to put my valuables. There was sand falling from the ceiling. I could hear people coughing in the shared dorm above (probably COVID), and all their footsteps and their sand was coming through the cracks in the ceiling. There were spider webs on the walls of my room. The common space was full of old junk. The pool was OK. The breakfast was acceptable. The initial communication was good, and they set up my transport. And it was cheap.

Party goes til well after 4am. Impossible to sleep even with noise-canceling headphones. Facilities are grotty and run down. Beds are the tiniest I have ever seen for adults. Staff or volunteers don't seem to know what they are doing. My charger block got stolen out of the common area. I was unhappy due to zero sleep and found another place to stay. I asked for a refund for the days I prepaid for and would not be staying there. I was insulted and no refund was given. Would never go back again.
