I stayed one night and really enjoyed it. It was during the protests and the situation out on the street was unlike anything I'd ever seen. But as soon as I stepped into the hostel I felt a sense of calm and safety. Pros - the dinner and drink combo is great value, the staff are kind and speak great English, you get your own towel, the rooms are clean and far enough away from the bar to be quiet, good free breakfast, there's info on local tours,a bring and take book library, and recycling bins

It is a very big hostel, huge. Staff was nice, breakfast was cool with the eggs that you can cook yourself. Location is good but it's a bit inconvenient with the protests going on. The bathrooms were a bit dirty but I guess it is to be expected in such a big hostel with so many guests.

    Very Good

    15 Oct 2019
Had a good stay here in October. Had a private single room which for the amount of money I spend could have been better. Location is pretty good, close to metro and also walkable. Free breakfast was basic but pretty good. Beautiful outdoor area to relax and meet others over a drink. Nighttime atmosphere was a hit or miss, some nights great and some very quiet where everyone was isolated to their own groups. Overall, as a solo traveller, was good experience, by don’t know if I’d come back

The hostel is not fit for a solo traveller, the social atmosphere is non-existent. The amenities were ok, and the location is quite close to the downtown core. Other than this, I would not recommend the hostel.

Stayed here as a solo traveller with the intent of meeting other travellers and being clean, but the reviews about this being weirdly filled with locals and having no atmosphere are all accurate. No atmosphere and hard to meet others. Breakfast was bad with flies everywhere. Booked a private room with bathroom which was overpriced relative to what I got. It was safe despite the protests, so I’ll give them that, but will not stay here again and would absolutely NOT recommend for solo travellers.

Has the potential to be amazing.. but it isnt! It huge, has a well equipped clean kitchen and good breakfast. Security is high need card for the door and room. BUT there is no atmosphere, small bar with a local vibe, no foreign staff so no social element to it. Laundry is DIY at £7!! Check in took about 5 years and every bathroom was filthy, saw the same hairs on days 1,2 &3 its not hard to clean bathrooms! Dust balls around all the beds. Never told us its cheaper to pay on card than cash too.

It was in the middle of all the riots that happened in Santiago. I wanted to contact them because I was out of the hostel and they didn’t answer me in whatsapp, neither via mail. So i went to some people on the street and asked them to call hostel but they didn’t answer either. I felt really unsafe and left alone and they didn’t try to help me. I booked a night in another hostel because there was a curfew. The next day I went for my stuff and money and they didn’t want to give it back to me
