Good place 5seconds from the beach. Good value for money and neat everything. It's calm. A lot of families and kids aswell. Not a party place but close to the party. I would stay here again.

Simple. Basic. I felt like I was at home after staying there for a week the staff is very friendly and I had everything I needed. You can’t beat the location and the view for the price. I recommend staying here if you’re on a budget with great views and close to everything.

    Fabulous

Stayed here (solo traveler) & loved my stay! San Juan Del Sur is a ghost town right now because of all the political stuff going on in the country. However, San Juan is VERY safe both day and night! Perfect for anyone who wants to come chill by the beach, surf or learn Spanish. The hostel is in the perfect location, near the beach and bars. Breakfast is great and staff is super nice! Only a couple of other people in the hostel, but that’s why I encourage everyone to come. Things are safe here!

    Very Good

Our bed in our private room was directly under a window where a local man kept walking by and yelling loudly throughout the night. I didn’t feel very safe in this hostel. The beds were comfortable and everything worked well but the safety thing was large for me

This a basic budget hostel. It's a good price and great location. Don't expect more. I loved the ability to walk across the road and jump in the ocean. Yet it was quiet enough to get sleep. I can handle bare bones, sloppy, unclean places. If you can't, get something nicer. But this works for the budget. Satisfied.

Pros: Great location. Walk across the street and you at the beach. Beautiful sunsets. Many restuarants within a block or two. CONS: It feels more like a Appalachian cast away cottage. I can handle bare bones with a bed, and cool shower so it works for me to have the private room at this location. As far as security the private rooms have a solid wooden door with a deadbolt. Bring a towel

Dorm room had decent fans and lockers, beds were comfy. Bathroom had two showers and toilets that were reasonably clean. Staff were not super welcoming. Biggest problem for me was security, I could have walked in straight from the street and into a dorm where everyone's gear was lying around. Also the free breakfast was pretty bad, just an egg with beans and rice. But the coffee was awesome, free refills until the container was empty.

I have never been to a hostel that dirty! There was s**t in every toilet, a big pot of hairy mouldy food in the fridge, bed sheets were dirty too and no one cleaned anything of that at all. The staff was just sitting around the hall day. I am sorry to say that but just don’t go there!
