I normally don't leave reviews , but this hostel experience was great so I feel compelled to do so. I have stayed at a few hostels before and none have been able to really win me over than H1 Miramar. What made this experience so great were the staff, all of them were really nice but Elena really made my trip all worth it. She made me feel at home the second I got there, she's very genuine, fun, helpful and overall wholesome person. I wish I was able to express my gratitude for all she has done

I was only at H1 for one night but it seemed like a nice place. The staff was welcoming, location was good - walking distance to plenty of great restaurants and the beach, security felt solid.

I've stayed in hostels all over southeast asia and a few now in Puerto Rico, and H1 was fantastic. My hosts Elena and Erick were a blast! Super welcoming from the get go. They took us out at night after an amazing dinner included with the stay. The hostel itself was great, but it was the staff that made it so memorable. Thank you so much to the H1 staff for everything. I'll be back for sure!

I loved my first time experience here at Miramar H1 Hostel. Definitely great value for the price it is. I appreciate how accommodating the staff was, ESPECIALLY,the lovely Elena Pellizzari. She was super helpful and friendly. She was attentive to all our needs, we even came back at the end of our week long trip around the island to this same exact Hostel and none other, just to see her again! It is encounters with people like her that make vacations truly memorable. Thank you for the memories!!

Staff is fantastic- very welcoming & super fun to go out with at night! Edna, Kenniel, Luis & Ashley were incredibly welcoming and made us feel like we were at the best spot. Free family style dinner was wonderful, Ashley is a great cook - make sure to leave a tip $ so they can keep hosting free meals! Definitely recommend, we will be back!

Volunteers were awesome and helpful. The space is set up to both meet others or to do ones own thing. I forgot to pack a lock for the lockers, left the stuff in the hostel and it was all still there after a few hours. Still tho, bring a lock.

Stayed here on a Friday night with a group of 6. Elena was awesome and by far the most welcoming, hospitable and genuine host I’ve met at any hostel I’ve been to! Will definitely look to stay here the next time we’re in San Juan.

H1 was a great hostel for value and atmosphere. The staff went out of their way to recommend things and the low value / free meals were a great way to get everyone talking. The rooms themselves were very basic, but all had good working AC, which is pretty much essential in San Juan. Only drawbacks were the two bathrooms (not enough for all guests in my opinion) and the both times we booked the room via hostel world for 2 beds together in a mixed dorm we got separated on arrival each time.

I booked the hostel based on the reviews... and the reviews were not wrong: Elena is a lovely person and seriously went above and beyond to help me in any way that she could. Other than that... the AC worked and that was the highlight of my experience. No security for dorm rooms, only lockers are downstairs in common area, no plugs near the bed (just one outlet for the room), one overhead light, and there was a HUGE racket of noise by guests/volunteers(?) until 2 or 3 AM. Bathrooms kind of dirty
