Quiet, adorable hostel with a greta value for the price. Centric yet in a quiet part of town, this hostel has warm, welcoming staff and great facilities!

It was perfect... clean spacious bathrooms, quiet, safe, location close to everything within walled town; I adore the exceptionally warm and friendly staff who made me feel so at home, and plus point they speak english! I shall recommend it to anyone wishing to visit Evora and Monsaraz.

I can not find fault with this hostel. I stayed for five nights and the others staying here were one nighters and or with children, not true travelers in my opinion. I was made a nice breakfast when I requested one, for a small charge. The owner helped arrange a tour to the megalithic sites around the city. I would stay here again, definitely.

A great place to stay in Evora. Staff very friendly and helpful. We were introduced to a local bar owner with whom we became fast friends.

This is a lovely place to stay and discover Évora. The hostel is in a quiet neighbourhood but the tourist sites are just a short walk away. Everything was sparkling clean and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. If I ever come back to Évora I would definitely stay there again.

When I was there there were only two other guests which I didn’t see and the staff isn’t always around so it’s a pretty quiet place. That being said, it was super clean and is in a great location, close to everything (although Evora is very small and almost everything is in walking distance). Wasn’t informed that you have to let them know ahead of time if you wanted breakfast, otherwise there’s a little cafe nearby that has good pastries. Overall it was a good experience!

    Very Good

It is located in a very handy area within the city wall, and it has parking areas nearby. The owner is really helpful and very welcoming. However the facilities are not great, the kitchen is so and so and the living room very dark and bit messy. On the other side they do have a very small and lovely internal yard. We got the room on the ground floor that was ok but not great, but I believe the others on the first floor were better. Definitely a good option to spend 1 night there to visit Evora!

I can’t really comment on Hostel Nameste that much. The hostel had double booked the private room we reserved. As an alternative they arranged for us to stay at Casa Palmas, an old boarding house. Ana (@Nameste) was lovely and very helpful. The lady at Casa was nice too, but didn’t speak English, so couldn’t recommend sights/restaurants etc. We could have taken a bunk in the dorm at Nameste, but the other (long term) guest in the room was really messy and quite spread out.

    Good

You should avoid this hostel. The pros: nice staff, central location, kitchen to cook your own meals. The cons: there seems to be lots of long-term guests in this hostel. The room I was in had no space to put my stuff (the lockers were all taken) and the odor was pungent. The floor wasn't clean, and my linens were humid when I came to sleep. There is no key to enter the dorms. Other guests in my room were eating in their beds. This does not meet the standards I would expect from a hostel.
