And speaking of evenings and nights, HUB Lisbon Patio has multiple room options to suit all of our customers. Choose between a bed in a dorm, where you can meet other lients and share new experiences, or simply a private room. Without forgetting families, we also have a family room option and always with a private bathroom.

Overview

With our neutral-toned furniture and whitewashed walls, Hub Lisbon Patio Hostel is a Scandi-inspired haven in Portugal's capital. Guests love our oversized hammock, which overlooks the outdoor courtyard and is a fun spot to – quite literally – hang out with new friends. You can watch films out on the patio with popcorn cooked up in the kitchen or get your group involved in a BBQ evening. The fun doesn't stop indoors either, with foosball, PlayStation and a bar to check out inside.

Location

We're only a 13-minute walk from the central Praça Marquês de Pombal roundabout and less than 2 minutes on foot from Picoas metro station. You can get here from Lisbon Portela Airport on the red line in 40 minutes. The boutiques of Avenida da Liberdade are easy to reach in about 17 minutes on foot. Our staff know all the great local restaurants, so it's worth getting their advice if you want to try some typical Portuguese dishes.

Rooms and Dorms

We've got private double rooms and mixed, female- and male-only dorms. Most have access to shared bathrooms, but there's one dorm with an en-suite. You'll have free bedding on your bunk, a locker for your backpack and three plug sockets so you can charge your camera, phone and laptop at the same time. Many of our beds have curtains for added privacy.

Extras and activities

We have common spaces and a dining area where you can eat your free continental breakfast each morning. Our Wi-Fi's free too – handy for booking an Uber (super cheap in Portugal) to take you to Belem for one of Lisbon's best custard tarts. For snacks closer to home, head to our own café or raid the vending machines. Once you're fuelled up on tasty treats, hire a bike from us and explore the riverfront. No worries if you work up a sweat: our air con will cool you down nicely when you get back.

very friendly staff and great facilities. It was a bit noisy, I could hear everything that was going on in the hall, but for the price of the bed per night I think is definitely worth it.

My stay at Hub Lisbon was so comfortable and satisfying. Staff were super helpful about everything I needed. The location of the hostel is very safe and super close to metro station. The rooms, bathrooms, kitchen were all very clean. Couldn't be more happy about my stay!

Needed a place to sleep for a couple hours before heading to the airport. Perfect place for it, got there and wished I had stayed a night. Staff were lovely, facilities beautiful. Toilets clean. Beds comfy a little shaky but very private so perfect place to get some rest and probably the closest hostel to the airport.

    Very Good

At the time of reservation I couldn't find an option of reserve for children, so I couldn't reserve for my doughter. She would sleep with me anyways so I only reserved for me and my friend. I saw that the hostal is child friendly so I thought it wouldn't be a problem. As I arrived they told me I can not stay in a shared bedroom with my child because of the Hostel policy. I asked them where can I read that policy, they didn' know what to say. I had to pay double for a private room. I was bitter

Gostaria de relatar que gostei do quarto, cama confortável, café da manhã bem bacana. Porém tive a péssima experiência de terem furtado meu AirPods (fones de ouvido) dentro do quarto.

I didn't really enjoy my stay at the hostel. When I arrived the guy at the reception didn't welcome me at all and barely showed me the hostel. Also the atmosphere is really private, there are no activities and I found it hard to meet new people. They surely could improve the cleanliness in the kitchen, common areas and the room. I think, the price is not worth it.

There are no reading lights in the ladies dorm, there are no locks on the lockers under the beds (you have to buy a padlock, which they sell, but should be standard), the towels are 5 euros, the breakfast is incredibly basic and the location is highly inconvenient. There is a Hub Hostel downtown, but this one is in a very annoying place. I spent what I could have spent on a nicer hostel on travel every day. The staff sometimes did not know what they were talking about.

This hostel delivered in everything they promised but since I stayed in a private room, the challenge of shared dormitories were unknown to me. They had a working elevator which to me was great.
