Property Description

La Pacha has reopened - now with a natural swimming pool and Indian restaurant! At La Pacha you will enter another world: Panoramic views of rolling mountains, forests and small farms. The accommodation of yurts, domes, a gypsy wagon and camping are located in the mandarin orchard or on the mountainside. A large natural swimming pool with rocks and plants all around. The sky hammock to watch the sunset and a campfire every night. Delicious Indian and vegetarian restaurant. Spectacular walks and bike tracks all around. Cine-bus with excellent movies. Free wifi and firewood. Our environmental ethos: 100% recycling (yes that means 0% garbage. We reuse everything!) Dry toilets, solar showers, organic garden, compost. And of course, Xtreme sports. We can offer so much more than your average hostel!

It’s perfectly located with a short bus ride into San Gil, so you can easily do all the extreme sports, but remote enough to forget the outside world. There’s a gorgeous hidden waterfall with pool just a 40 mins walk away. A 15 min walk to the most spectacular sunset in the region. You can hike to the unique village and UNESCO site , Barichara (2 hours) or take the bus. You can even walk down to the highest bungee in South America!

But what really makes La Pacha special is the friendly family atmosphere: Run by a very down-to-earth Anglo-Colombian family with two kids, two cats and two goats, we make it our mission to welcome guests into the family, but there's lots of different spaces to relax for some quiet time.
We also have local and national charities that we support. By staying at La Pacha you will be contributing to the local community and natural environment.

Justin and Andrea are the best hosts I've come across while travelling. Not just in Colombia but in any country I have been to. They provide true care, and really want you to have the best experience. They helped book us a bike trip into the canyon, showed us walking paths in the area to see the beautiful landscape, and welcomed us to meet their family. The food here is exceptional and if you are looking for a place to stay that will immerse you in a Colombian landscape, there is no where better

This place is a real PARADISE. My girlfriend and I spent a week in the Yurt and it was bliss. Since day one Justin, Andrea and the kids made us feel welcome, they cooked delicious food, they gave us tips on where to go and what to do and helped us to book our paragliding trip. The natural pool is amazing and days were spent enjoying the grounds. Get in touch with them before arriving and they are happy to help with arranging a lift or advice on how to get to their place. A unique experience.

Omg i don't know where to start! You have to go to La Pacha! It's a really sweet little mandarin farm with amazing panoramic views. I love the pool- it's so nice to swim in natural spring water. You can swim at any time day or night. The owners Andrea and Justin and their kids are really friendly and welcoming and cook amazing food. I had the Indian thali (twice) , vegeburger, breakfast and their cookies - all spectacularly good.

We loved la Pacha and stayed for a whole week. It was the perfect base for San Gil( (only a 2,200 COP bus ride away), so all activities were really easy to get to (and organised by the hostel). What really stood out though was that it was a brilliant place to relax and appreciate nature. Justin and Andrea were brilliant hosts, nothing was too much for them, and made us feel really welcome. We wish them best of luck with the new La Pacha, and hope to visit one day.

GO HERE- it’s really not hard to get to and you get all the amazing things about the city but in the most beautiful site with a great view and relaxed atmosphere. Bed was lovely, the solar showers are beautiful and the tomato pasta is amazing. There are so many things you can do in the area around their land and also they’ll help sort any activities in san Gil or sporty ones. Their website is so useful and gives great recommendations. Definitely go to La Pacha

Very friendly and super helpful couple. Justin gave us so much information! They booked our nightbus to santa Marta, gave info about bussen to barichara etc. It Very easy to get to and on the road to Barichara so a Very Good location. The place is very atmospheric with the lighted domes, although the facilities are very basic. Its a very unique way to stay in Colombia but definitely worth it.

It's a very unique situation. If you like luxury, this is def not for you... You can sleep in yurts, busses or tents. Its about a 15 min bus ride from town, and then a 10 min walk to the site. The views and fresh air are amazing. They helped organize all the trips (rafting, caving, parasailing, etc) and also have a couple goats you can milk! Its a good place to stay a few days to do your adventures and also chill.
