How to reach NOMAD (it's easy) :
15 minutes from Barichara center en tuc-tuc
15 minutes Bus and 15 minutes walk (Bus tu Guane and stop at "ramal a galan" then walk down the unpaved road) 6am - 5pm

NOMAD is an hostel right in the middle of the dry-tropical forest where you will be directly connected with nature. We are located in between Barichara and Guane, two typical villages with easy access from our hostel. You will enjoy the breath taking view to the "Rio Suarez" canyon and will discover a lot of different birds that settled in our land. If you're lucky, you will see armadillos, porcupines, humming-birds or iguanas!

In our restaurant, you will find quality french food with vegetarian options, all home made by our self. We also have our own bakery and charcuterie, ARTISAN Barichara and you can find our product directly in the hostal!

In our establishment, you will enjoy our rooftop terrace with hammocks, yoga mats for your morning exercises, a well equipped kitchen with oven, and our open air showers. NOMAD is Florent (France) and Natalia (Colombia) and we are so happy to share our small paradise with you! Flo created NOMAD to offer a unique experience to other travelers who, like him, are in need of an off-grid options and looking to rest and disconnect. He is also a music producer and can offer production classes. If you're traveling by motorbike, he will share all his secret paths to discover the region. Natalia is an architect, and she will share with you the fantastic world of earth construction in Barichara. She will also share her advices on trails and bicycle trips. Natalia also work to offer to all women traveling to NOMAD a safe, peaceful and enjoyable environment.

Le moment passé au Nomad était génial. On se retrouve entouré de nature, un lieu paisible et ressourçant. Cela vaut clairement les 15 petites minutes de bus depuis le centre de Barichara (bus 2 fois par heure). L’accueil chaleureux de tout le personnel permet d’autant plus de profiter. Sans compter sur la gentillesse du gérant, qui saura vous aiguiller sur votre visite de la région ! Je recommande fortement. Un endroit incontournable qui marquera votre séjour !

Enjoyed my three day stay at Hostel Nomad. Location is a bit far out of the town of Barichara but worth it if you enjoy tranquility and beautiful surroundings. I stayed in an 8 person dorm which had only 3 men staying in it (there were 2 dorms, one for men and one for women). Restaurant serves all three meals and in reasonably priced (breakfast included). Getting to/from the hostel requires either a bus or "tuk tuk" (if you have luggage). Kitchen and lots of room to relax. Recommended.

This was the perfect hostel for me, outside of town, very quiet, fantastic staff, delicious food, beautiful buildings, great facilities - and it’s not that complicated to get to Guane or Barichara. I extended my stay twice and still found it hard to leave. I hope I can go back again soon.
