Property Description

This popular hostel is housed in a beautifully restored 1905 mansion and located on one of the most important avenues in the city – Avenida de Mayo.
It features modern facilities and luxurious rooms, all with private bathrooms. This hostel resembles a boutique hotel, the real difference being the price tag!

Inside there are different areas to suit all needs and preferences - you can relax on the roof terrace with a refreshing cocktail or simply chill out on one of the many sofas and watch TV, read a book or use the internet.

It also boasts a large bar area which is perfect for meeting fellow travellers, watching various sports events, playing pool, using the book exchange or having a bite to eat from our tasty food menu.

But the true asset of Milhouse Hostel Avenue is the friendly, well informed and energetic team working here. Typical Porteños, they are passionate about helping you discover Buenos Aires.

Every day, fun and entertaining trips are arranged to make your BA experience unique and unforgettable. By day they offer trips around the city (walking, by bike or minivan), on-site Spanish classes, Argentinean cookery classes, the amazing football match experience, a polo lesson or a tango class amongst many others. By night, they host an array of fun entertainment, whether that be live bands, our parties, open-mic nights or quiz and games nights.

This is the perfect place to get warmed up before heading out to eat at one of our delicious steak restaurants or going to one of the many nightclubs the city has to offer.

Final rate without taxes for customers with foreign passport. Argentinian customers will be charged for IVA at check in. View House Rules

Hostel is immaculately clean, feels like a hotel. Rooms are spacious. Beds are made daily. There are parties every night in alternate sites (hippo vs Avenue). My sleep was never ever affected due to sound proof rooms. Very strict rules in place about cleanliness and respect of other people’s living space. Staff are extremely knowledgable and there are tours daily. Breakfast isn’t free but very affordable. Subway is literally outside. No complaints whatsoever!

After living in 9 different hostels in Buenos Aires for a month I have two comments: 1. THE BEST HOSTEL and 2. THE BEST PARTY HOSTEL IN BUENOS AIRES PERIOD! The staff is awsome, the location is the best in the city right between the congress and Plaza de Mayo with Casa Rosada. People party everywhere but it still ends at latest 24 og 01 at night. Cheap drinks, good party at the rooftop and then down at the lobby. I wanna volunteer here because the staff joins us in party! Ulrik (Norway)

Perfect hostel!! Know before booking that it is a party hostel designed for younger people. However, the staff is soooo helpful and if you didn't want to party you definitely don't have to. I couldn't even hear the music from up in my room. Stay for a couple days, and enjoy vacation in a beautiful city with plenty of other fun people! If you're staying in BA for more than a couple days I think it would be nice to stay here for a couple of days and at another hostel for the other days to rest!

The dorms in this hostel are really nice! They feel modern and clean, kind of look like a hotel minus the bunk beds. It’s a lively hostel so great if you are wanting to go out. The kitchen is a bit basic, so not amazing if you want to cook your own food, but it’s okay. And the rooftop area is good, but would be better if it was open for longer! Thank you!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Millhouse hostel. The atmosphere is really good here and the staff go above and beyond to make the guests feel welcomed (specifically Sol and Josefina). The main reason I enjoyed this place so much was because of how welcome those 2 made me feel and how they went above and beyond during and outside of their shifts. If you're looking for a hostel with a good atmosphere, outgoing staff, and good enough places to sleep then this is a great option for Buenos Aires.

Great security- the give you a bracelet, only people with that bracelet can get inside the hosts. There are keys to the rooms and huge lockers. Downsides - no towels, a bit noisy at night. Overall I would recommend for sure!

Milhouse came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The vibe was great with loads of day trips and city sights as well as fun evening drinks. Can get a bit pricey drinking on site all the time and outside alcohol is banned and some of the clubs you go to aren’t amazing but, was easy to meet people as a solo traveler. Rooms were clean, en-suites were cleaned daily and overall seemed safe and staff were helpful.

    Very Good

    21 Feb 2020
Really really good location in Palermo, short walk to main bars and cafe. Other rooms looked OK but 14 man dorm was not pleasant at all. Beds are extremely close together, you basically have to climb on top of someone else’s to get to top bunk. Smells bad and one of the hottest nights sleep to date. Not really much atmosphere or area to chill

Milhouse Hostel Avenue says

I think our guests really appreciate the extras we offer. We've got organised entertainment every day and every night, our facilities are superior to most hostels, we've got a bar that offers a full breakfast (great after the hangover!) and yummy snacks all day long, plus we have customised walking tours and tango lessons for our guests.
We're close to the government house, Congress, the main square in Buenos Aires, bars, restaurants and museums. I recommend that everyone definitely checks out a football game while they're here, too!
I'd say our hostel is ideal for backpacking friends, flashpacking couples and solo travellers looking for a highly social hostel with lots of entertaining activities.
We have one room with the appropriate measures and facilities for wheel chair and people with special needs. Our doors are wide enough and we have a lift. Melina, Owner
