Honestly one of the coolest places I've ever stayed! I have never stayed at a hostel in US before Native, and I was pleasantly surprised! The place was amazing, all the staff was super helpful - my cousin and I had a blast staying here :) will definitely be back.

BRILLIANT hostel hidden behind one of East Austin’s busiest bars. Great place to go out but also to relax - the rooms are completely soundproof. Highly recommend!

One of the best Hostels you're going to find! I would put it on the same level of cool as Selina Hostel in Mexico City. I will definitely go back. I love the vibe and how nice everything is. Plus it's easy to get to anything in downtown.

I wasn't sure how this would turn out, as I'm not often a "hostel" user. But it was great! It was upscale, modern, funky and friendly. The location is great in the East Side area with good coffee on-site or down the street. The front is an upscale bar with an active Fri/Sat night crowd. And that did not present too much noise back in the back bedrooms. The beds were comfortable, the toilet, sink and showers, common areas were modern and clean. Off-street parking, great location!

Went for SXSW. And it was pitch perfect: location, atmosphere, sleeping conditions, etc. I can’t express how great this stay was especially for SXSW

Funky hostel, kind of industrial chic decorations and vibe. Very popular and busy bar that you have to walk through to get to the hostel entrance, but you can’t hear much from the bar once in the rooms. Everything is on one floor. Towels provided, beds are decently comfortable. Lockers included with lock under the bed which is a weird place but everything fits even big suitcases. During the day they open the main doors to the hostel area so common areas are open/connected to the bar.

The only real issue I had with this hostel was related to drinks at the bar and the no booze policy. The no booze policy and the price of drinks only pushes people to sneak in hard liquor because it’s the on viable way to drink in that situation.

Don’t stay in the front room.. the kitchen/bar is behind the wall & there will be banging until late at night.Thursday/weekend night be ready to hear the music from the DJ until about 2 or so in the a.m. Lighting was extremely dim, & it would be nice to have more accessible storage space on the top bunks (only 2 hooks.) No direct access to parking lot from the back of hostel. Homeless wandering around inside asking for money, etc. Dimly lit across the board & limited food options. Near railroad

The hostel is nice, however I booked the room via website where I paid a deposit of 15%. the deposit was not passed on to the hostel and I was charged full price at the property instead of the remaining sum. I called the website and they were super unhelpful, they said it's not their mistake and did not want to take any responsibility on this. I tried calling the hostel back but they don't have anyone picking up the phone, just a voicemail asking you to leave a message.. dissapointed.
