Our visitors tell us this is 'more than just a hostel, [it's like] a little quaint boutique hotel. The perfect place to rest after a day in the crowded city centre'.

Excellent location for seeing all the sights. The forbidden city within walking distance and metro 5 minutes walk from hostel. The hostel had with beautiful fresh flowers all over the building and a nice restaurant with a lovely roof terrace where you could have a drink or snack whilst enjoying the sunshine. Special mention to the star of the hostel. 'Seven' was the receptionist who helped us out on a number of occasions

The staff is really what makes this place stand out. Mia, Sue, and Mini Snow were so helpful from taking me to meet my taxi and helping me get a SIM card. They went out of their way to help! Really warm blankets and nice facilities. Right by the metro. WiFi very stable and fun Great Wall tour

Great Hostel. Very comfy beds, nice thick mattresses. Felt very homely in the common room with nice taste of music playing over the speakers. Only two showers in the hostel which was annoying, but there are some private rooms and they may have their own shower. Also WiFi was not working in the room, but nice and fast in the common area. Also breakfast in the restaurant was very nice and very good value for money.

The hostel is in a great area of Beijing. the Hutongs, and there's a metro station a few meters away which makes it accessible from anywhere. The hostel itself is a beauty, with a beautiful restaurant/cafe in the same building. I stayed in a private room so I can't comment on the shared bedrooms and bathrooms, but my room was great! A lot of space, super clean. Bed was hard, but that is common in China. Would definitely stay again.

I arrived early in the morning and took a taxi to get to the hostel. It was a little bit hard to find the hostel, yes; because there are no signs or indicators where it is. But, if you pay attention it says Peking International Hostel in the door. Regarding the facilities, you don't have "self-serving facilities" except by hot and cold water (which is not always full, because it's on a glass bottle that is refilled by the reception guys). Except by that, everything in my stay was great.

This was the cutest / most aesthetically pleasing hostel I have ever stayed at. Flowers everywhere, and I wish I had more time to spend in their cafe! The hostel is a bit older, so the facilities were not the newest. The hostel worker texted me to make sure I had arrived safely in Beijing after I had not arrived on the scheduled arrival time. The security was there to help us when we arrived after midnight. The taxi driver had a bit of trouble locating the hostel, so thankfully I had data.

Location is great, but for those who are using Google Maps (as of MAR2019): You have to search for "Peking Youth Hostel" to get the correct pin. If you search for "International Youth Hostel" you end up add a different place, which is not a hostel at all... Both places are 15min walking from each other, but you can save the confusion... No big atmosphere to meet people in the hostel, but cozy place with coffee shop/bar.

The hostel is quite pretty and full of flowers!! Weak points were that the internet was only available in certains areas, not including rooms and even though there were some networks available there they wouldn’t work or the staff would say so... also I didn’t like that I book a font for two people but it was more like a dorm of 8 separate in two rooms (2 beds in one and 6 in the other one) so finally 8 people had access to my room not only 2! Other than those two comments the hostel is great!

We're located in a charming lane, just five minutes' walk from Houhai Lake and 20 minutes from the Forbidden City. I recommend people definitely visit the web-like maze of Hutongs.
For fun our guests like to have some nice drinks and play the free guitar we have around here. We also serve Illy Coffee in our beautiful café. We cater to all ages and have baby chairs as well as wheelchair accessibility on the first floor. Gao Gao & Fei, Owners
