Hostelworld says

Hostelworld guests rated Peking International Hostel the most popular in Beijing at the 2011 Hoscars and it's no wonder - this clean, modern and charming hostel has boutique-style common areas and a rooftop restaurant as well as vases of fresh flowers throughout which provide 'a welcome respite from the dusty Beijing streets', as one traveller said. Our visitors tell us this is 'more than just a hostel, [it's like] a little quaint boutique hotel. The perfect place to rest after a day in the crowded city centre'.

    Superb

The hostel is in an awesome location. It is a cool shopping street called a Hutong. The subway is a 5 minute walk away. We were in a family room on the main floor, and it was warm and quiet. The water was super hot. The beds were hard, but clean. There is an awesome coffee shop/cafe attached to the hostel which is a great hangout space. We booked a tour for the Greatwall with the hostel, it was easy and affordable. We went to Mutianyu and it was quiet and beautiful.

Really nice location near the metro to get anywhere you need. Many nice shops and eateries close by. The place was clean and there are lots of flowers which are a nice touch. The cafe was very good and had nice staff. The front desk was helpful - I recommend their Great Wall tours. Only slight bad marks for a small shared bathroom for the whole place and limited WiFi to the common area. Was not a very social place either but it’s very peaceful and cozy, great for the BJ winter! Recommended.

Adorable location, nice pillow and blanket (beds a little firmer than I like but slept like a rock all the same). Only stayed one night for a layover but I was a great place to stay. The directions from the airport was very clear and exact. If I get a chance to go to Beijing again I would love to stay with them again.

    Fabulous

I had a 16 hr layover in Beijing and needed a place to sleep. The only con was that I arrived late at night so my taxi dropped me off in the dark alley and there isn't a visible sign at night to the hostel. Luckily I had a screenshot of the address and number of the hostel and this kind local called the hostel for me. He showed me where it was and the night guard opened the door. Other than that - my stay was very comfortable! It's very quiet at night and the staff is super nice!

Peking International Youth Hostel says

We're located in a charming lane, just five minutes' walk from Houhai Lake and 20 minutes from the Forbidden City. I recommend people definitely visit the web-like maze of Hutongs.
For fun our guests like to have some nice drinks and play the free guitar we have around here. We also serve Illy Coffee in our beautiful café. We cater to all ages and have baby chairs as well as wheelchair accessibility on the first floor. Gao Gao & Fei, Owners
