We are a 100% New Zealand family-owned accommodation, local's to the Waitakere area and offer a unique New Zealand homestay experience. We endeavour to be environmentally friendly to enhance our environment and to support our local community.

Only 'eco-friendly' products such as ecostore laundry and cleaning products and other bio-degradable products are used and all glass and plastic bottles and containers are recycled.

All water used is rainwater collected from the roof and wastewater is recycled onsite.

At Piha Beachstay, we provide clean facilities and a range of accommodation options including private single/double rooms, a shared bunkroom and private ensuite bathrooms.
Spacious communal kitchen and lounge.

Plus: Easy walking distance to all of Piha, safe off-street parking, all linen and towels provided & free Wi -Fi !

Loved this place so much… would definitely stay here again/recommend to friends and family. The view from the property was amazing, the building was really stylish and the bed super comfortable. Only wish we could have stayed for longer!

What an amazing place. I stayed here as my first stop on my solo travels of NZ, I felt safe, welcome, and at home here! It’s a lovely social place I met a bunch of great people and would have happily stayed longer! There’s not too much in Piha itself but absolutely beautiful scenery, wildlife, quite a few good food spots and lots of nice walks that are easily accessible! Honestly couldn’t recommend more for a relaxing way to settle in to your travels! Thank you Piha Beachstay!

Awesome spot. Small river wrench through the property and there is a trampoline. Rented a surfboard from the owner. Only went out for a couple hours, but he charged me for the full day and didn’t give a reason. :|
