We are a 100% New Zealand family-owned accommodation, local's to the Waitakere area and offer a unique New Zealand homestay experience. We endeavour to be environmentally friendly to enhance our environment and to support our local community.

Only 'eco-friendly' products such as ecostore laundry and cleaning products and other bio-degradable products are used and all glass and plastic bottles and containers are recycled.

All water used is rainwater collected from the roof and wastewater is recycled onsite.

At Piha Beachstay, we provide clean facilities and a range of accommodation options including private single/double rooms, a shared bunkroom and private ensuite bathrooms.
Spacious communal kitchen and lounge.

Plus: Easy walking distance to all of Piha, safe off-street parking, all linen and towels provided & free Wi -Fi !

This place is not your average hostel!! It's more like an alpine lodge in the heart of a beautiful rainforest. A short walk from a gorgeous waterfall, a lookout spot with a view of the Piha coast, and a beach straight out of an Avatar movie. The accommodation has everything you need and the staff are very friendly. The only down side is there was no lockers in the dorm I was in. Well worth the trip. I only wish I stayed longer. Hot tip: it's easier to get around with a hire car.

All of the Staff we met were lovely, room was delightful and we even had a friendly hen appear at our door in the morning. Once we let her in, the cat showed up as well, so we were indeed welcomed by everyone here.

Loved this place so much… would definitely stay here again/recommend to friends and family. The view from the property was amazing, the building was really stylish and the bed super comfortable. Only wish we could have stayed for longer!
