Summary of traveller reviews

Rising Cock Party Hostel in Lagos is renowned for its incredibly social atmosphere and fun-loving staff, especially Mama, who serves delicious morning crepes. It's a top choice for solo travellers and groups looking for a lively experience. Some recent reviews mention that bathrooms could be cleaner and that noise can be an issue due to its party nature.

It was okay for two nights mainly because the breakfast was really entertaining and i enjoyed the crêpes. The bathroom wasn't that clean though and the room was really cramped. And there are no curtains on the beds.

I was so looking forward to coming to this hostel having met so many other solo travellers who highly recommended it. I was sorely disappointed in the “party” aspect of this hostel. The volunteers/staff did nothing to contribute to the party atmosphere and the only redeeming factor of the place was the cool guests and the yummy crepes from mama!!

I had to book here because it was the only hostel with female rooms still available. The beds don't have curtains or individual lights, there is only one super briight white light in the room. I didn't like that the room is next to the recepction and you have noise all night long, I understand it is a party hostel but there is no need to be so loud (recepcionist) at 2 am. I did love the crepes and location!
