Located in a lovely part of Penang. Beautiful outside setting with fairy lights- very inviting and a cosy spot to have a drink. Great communal showers and a varied breakfast- coffee and tea free all day was a plus.

Really great stay! The hostel is under new ownership and they have made a huge effort to plan events, outings, dinners, etc. We did karaoke, dinner at the night market, cable car to the top of Penang hill, etc all together and I met tons of people as a solo traveler. The social atmosphere has really improved from what I saw in other reviews. Also very clean, secure, and decent breakfast! Great stay.

The hostel is clean, perfectly located and the private room I stayed is was small but lovely- no complaints. The staff were friendly and check in/out was easy. My only negative comment would be that I wanted some help booking a local food tour and the hostel really didn't have any recommendations or preferred tours that they use. It would have been really helpful if they could provide some suggestions. I would absolutely stay again though, great value for money.

Lovely hostel. I had a private room and it was as good as many hotels I've stayed in. Staff were really nice and helpful and the hostel itself is in a good location. The free tea, coffee and water were appreciated. Not much communal space, mainly the breakfast area plus 2 beanbags. Although there were more spaces upstairs it's more of a corridor. Some tables and chairs outside though which was great. I would definitely stay here again.

    Very Good

While the rooms were clean and the downstairs common area sufficient, I don't understand why this place has such a high score. I enjoyed the location and appreciated how central it was to everything. The staff was also really nice and they have a cheap laundry option. That being said, the rooms don't have windows and the beds are crammed together with no curtains for privacy or anything. There's a lot of noise as the walls don't block any sound. I wouldn't stay here again.

    Very Good

The atmosphere was good, everyone was friendly. disappointing room : with window but Only in fact on to a corridor so not really relevant. bed was on the floor which personally I found uncomfortable but that’s probably just me. The bathroom design wasn’t great. Every time you have a shower you end up with a wet toilet. Also it is quite dark. There is a lack of lighting and what there is is the lowest wattage. I would have liked to stay longer But to basic and noisy.needs more chairs outside.
