Nice, clean hostel, which was partly under construction during my stay, which did not really affect the stay.

It was myfirst time staying in a hostel, travelling alone or indeed being independent. As such, I wasn’t expecting much. However, SLO living Hostel could be a gem. For a reasonable price, the rooms and toilets are clean and the place presents well. The location is good close to good eateries and right opposite a secure car park for road trips. There wasn’t much of an atmosphere but I was there off season. I’ve heard people say bad things about the area, but IMO it’s unjustified. Would stay again

My stay was nice. I will agree with some of the other reviewers who mentioned that the hostel is in a weird area. I just found it hard to access from the Gare de Part Dieu by walking, I would take the tram instead. The vibe was a bit off, maybe it was the days that I stayed but I don't think I said anything more than hi to my roommates and there aren't a ton of common spaces. That being said, the hostel is super clean and I felt really safe while inside. The outlet near my bed didn't work.

A very kind lady checked me in the hostel, great start. The atmosphere wasn't great for socializing as a solo traveler during my stay, although I had some nice people in my room. A nice outside area and generally clean and pretty. The location isn't amazing, but is a short walk away from the center of Lyon

This is an okay hostel, its perfectly serviceable but there were some issues. The neighbourhood is a tad sketchy - I didn't feel unsafe, but it wasn't an overly comfortable area to wander through at night if you're returning after dark. Also there aren't enough toilets or showers, so there's sometimes a line/wait for the bathrooms. Atmosphere was okay, but I was there in winter and think its probably better in summer. Apart from that I enjoyed my stay. Staff were nice and the breakfast was good.

I mean the atmosphere of it wasn’t terrible, like decent common area. Though the breakfast selection wasn’t great, I felt as a place for backpackers it was over priced wine and beer, additionally bathrooms were gross and the neighbourhood was a bit sketchy at night. The biggest issue I had though was that after only staying 3 nights I was littered in big bug bites all over my legs. 13 to be exact, I’m just gonna hope they were spider bites and not bed bugs

There was an incident when I checked in, which was 80% the receptionist’s responsibility and 20% mine. But later the receptionist lied about it and I was subsequently banned from this hostel. I don’t mind being banned, but to have that level of liar on your team and can’t even see through it, and managers repetitively changing their minds and failing to see the grand picture, I don’t care how many stars this hostel is having right now, they’ll have nowhere to go but down from now.
