The STAFF ARE AMAZING! Super friendly. Not all of them can speak English, but they still will try to help or get the staff who do speak English. The vibe their is amazing! My friends and I stayed in a room together so it was super cool to hang out in the room. Make sure you have mosquito repellent because they are definitely out there. The food is delicious at Sa Sa Laos. It's not a far walk from the town. The staff were super friendly (can't emphasize it enough)! Definitely will come back!!!

Sa Sa Lao was so beautiful! We loved the garden and the bamboo structures. It was only a 20 minute walk from town. Quiet and relaxing, only thing is there was no A/C, we could have used a stronger fan for more comfortable sleeping. I would stay again!

Amazing place to stay. A serene utopia!! Beautiful views of the river, and communal decking areas with hammocks and cushions. So far in Laos my favourite place! The rooms are bamboozled out - you feel at home in this place! Only annoying thing is the dogs. They belong to the family so they are not stray but they have access to the kitchen which I dont agree.

Really relaxing place run by a nice family. It’s not a party hostel but still has a nice social atmosphere. Good food and cocktails at the bar. The setting is beautiful near the river and the rooms were great. Strong internet. I enjoyed my stay there. A bit outside of the main drag of Luang Prabang but the walk is easy. Nice place if you want to relax

Sa Sa Lao is such a relaxed place not only to stay overnight but spend all day. The location is out side of tourist place but even better cause it's quiet and right next to the river. All you need is a bike to get you everywhere easily. Well designed, nice staffs, great atmosphere, good view, lush garden, lovely dogs... Sa Sa Lao is definetly my only choice in Luang Prabang.

I saw mixed reviews about this place before I went which made me sceptical. Thank goodness I saw through comments like the Wifi doesn't reach the rooms and still went. I thought this was amazing, very rustic, and good for the community. I got a shallet in the jungle close to the river. It was ace. The people were the best and I loved it. If you dont value that and would rather not have lizards in the bathroom, room service and wifi is that important, dont go. It was for me and the wifi is ok.

    Very Good

Great staff, river deck is great to relax and have a beer, clean homey rooms with mosquito nets. They are open air rooms which doesn’t bother us at all BUT during our stay, there was CONSTANT noise coming from a nearby temple. It went for 36 hours straight. Music, chanting and at one point actual screaming. A great hotel but bring earplugs!!

Lovely place to stay. Best part was the chilled out setting by the river. The beds were very comfortable also with mosquito nets. A good 15 minute walk to old town but that’s fine when you know your way around and it’s nice to have a break from the touristy scene in the old town.

Good hostel, little far away from the centre. You should always take a tuktuk to go to the center. Nice staff, breakfast is little expensive for what you get. My room had no door, so i wasn’t able to charge my phone during the night.
