Very clean, nice people & comfy beds. Only thing that could be improved would be a small kitchen/fridge somewhere to store food.

I stayed one night at SafeStay in a 6-bed dorm with two friends (all in our early 20s). We had a great night, hostel staff were really helpful and welcoming. Nice friendly atmosphere in the hostel. Our room and bathroom was very clean, with lockers to store our belongings in (remember to bring your own padlock though!) and the comfiest pillows and duvets! Great location, just walking distance from the centre of Glasgow. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our private room, had everything we could have asked for! The atmosphere in the hostel was not very lively and the location is a little out of the way! But apart from that everything was great!

Room was very clean and area was great close to the Main Street with good bars and restaurants but a decent walk but not to bad to a lot of the main sites like museums and such.

I stayed four nights at SafeStay in a 6-bed female dorm. The hostel staff was nice and welcoming. The room and bathroom was very clean. The bed had curtains around, which made it easier to sleep. The location was great, just walking distance from the centre of Glasgow. Definitely recommended.

Clean and easy hostel. Could have provided a TV with channels in the common room or some sort of social area/events (i.e put on social events as a few of the other residents also spoke about this) but, in general, a clean and secure hostel which was worth the money.

WiFi didn’t work the whole time we were there…another visitor said he’d been there 3-4 days prior to our arrival and it hadn’t been working since he arrived. Seems like something that should be a quick but important fix at a hostel with a lot of international travelers that don’t have phone data. Otherwise though hostel was fine…bathrooms were nice in the rooms. Great location.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff were very friendly and polite and they gave me a lot of advice about things to see and do. The atmosphere of the hostel is also very relaxed and cosmopolitan. It lacks facilities entirely: nowhere to cook or reheat your food, no TV and nowhere to dry your clothes During my 2 weeks stay they introduced a communal fridge, may this trend continue.

Our stay in Glasgow was not exactly what we were expecting. Granted, we had just come from a different hostel in Edinburgh and had a wonderful experience, so coming here was quite different. The staff was very friendly, as we arrived very early and they were happy to look after our belongs, however during our stay, the towels provided for us were hand towels not full body towels, our shower broke, and the toilet paper was not on a roll but folded up on the top of the toilet...
