Selina's are always the best pick. They have a gym, a place for yoga, an AMAZING food court right next door that is inexpensive, a pool, a restaurant, a garden, hammocks, movie room, everything you could possibly need. We were really able to relax and enjoy our time here, would recommend to anyone and would definitely pick Selina hostels to stay in again. However, the standard double room was a little small with very minimal moving around space. The bathrooms weren't in top shape either.

The most beautiful hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The grounds make you feel like you’re in a five star resort. There’s lots of yummy food and drink options. We stayed here after a two day volcano hike and we absolutely relished recovering in such a stunning place. The dorms are adequate as are the shower facilities. One minor flaw, the security for the rooms is poor so make sure to lock away valuables and lock up your bag. Our dormmates had items stolen. Be warned!

I was super excited to stay at Selina mainly because of the bracelet you get as a guest. I now realized how laughable that is, but I’m okay with it. This hostel is a village in itself with a super commercial feel. It does, however, provide a lot for your every need, especially after trekking Acatenango when all you want is a nice cocktail, a hammock, and a massage. It was my equivalent to a “cheat day” during my summer backpacking. It was the most basic thing I did in Guatemala. No regrets!

I really liked the place, rooms were very clean, however, some tables at the restaurant were dirty. The person that works in the restaurant, a woman with red hair, she's very rude and not at all willing nor has a bit of costumer service knowledge, thankfully the rest of the staff is really nice (especially the girls at the front desk). I loved the yoga class, the instructor is so nice!

Stayed here 3 times Pros - good WiFi,strong hot shower, location, helpful staff, easy to book shuttles, good pillows, pool and bar looked welcoming and clean. Cons - the rooms are very expensive for what you get, one room (3005 I think) we received had a huge gap where the roof did not meet the walls meaning bugs would come in (could see the bug graveyard on the wall from previous guests) staff did move us straight away when we voiced our concerns. Would recommend and stay again however

Cool location but it is so big that meeting other travelers is difficult. Outside of the excursions, the hostel doesn’t truly offer any social events. Lots of families and locals make use of the space. Toilets were clean but showers could use some better cleaning, there was mold. Overall an good experience but there’s room for improvement.

    Good

There was a convention going on the day I was there so there were tons of people, and it was very noisy and messy. There was nothing on the website that informed guests that this is happening, and I heard a few people complain (with reason). Apart from that, the rooms and especially the toilets weren't very clean. The room was stuffy and moldy. The facility itself is nice, but after visiting selina in panajachel which was great, I was a bit disappointed.

The kitchen is extremely dirty and unequipped. The common bathrooms are dirty with hair everywhere and the shower curtains are mouldy. The two girls working behind the desk are rude and unwilling to go out of their way (even the smallest of requests) to help.
