Our stay at Somewhere to stay was very comfortable and clean. The people taking care of us were very friendly and accommodating and took our bags to the room with us. Even the guests helped with our needs. I would recommend Somewhere to Stay to anyone looking for affordable rooms near the city of Brisbane. I would stay there again.

Nice hostel! Many places to chill outside, in the sun, by the pool, in the shade. Would stay again :) One downside - free parking is very limited.

I had a private room and am 60 years old. A traveller from way back. This place is very clean. A little more noise control late at night would be good, but I coped with earplugs. Friendly staff.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, great location (with beautiful look-out spot within walking distance), kitchen was dirty and poorly equipped: you must pay a deposit for cutlery, plates etc. If you wish to use a blanket you pay 10$ deposit. I understand the state of the kitchen and the need to ask for a deposit has partly to do with the young backpackers coming in, but it creates an unwelcoming vibe (so I'd say it's like a self-fulfilling prophecy, I guess). Not enough bathrooms and toilets.

Tiny 8 bed dorm. Room was dirty and people were unfriendly. The lounge room was dark and dingy and no where else indoors to chill out if you didn't want to be with the very loud TV. Small and dirty kitchen where people didn't bother to dry or put away any of their dishes. No plug sockets by the top bunks.

You get what you pay for. I was in the ‘larger’ 8 bed dorm and it was still very small, the room would have been fine but the people in it were extremely messy. Stuff everywhere and the bathroom was pretty grim. The staff are really nice so that’s a plus! The kitchen is kind of a joke, you have to bring your own cutlery & plates which I didn’t know about until I got there so had to buy some of my own. The kitchen itself is just not clean and I wouldn’t feel good about cooking in it atall.
