Located above a bar in the heart of buzzing Camden Town, St Christopher’s Camden offers a fun-packed experience for fans of loud music, alcohol and all things gloriously vintage. You can search for local gigs and events with our free Wi-Fi, or sink into a soft leather sofa in the common room to catch a few winks before joining our nightly pub crawl. Afterwards, sleep soundly in one of our cosy dorm rooms with fresh linen and key-card access. Reception is open 24 hours a day – so feel free to ask our helpful staff anything at all!

We're a 10-minute walk from Camden Lock market – lose yourself among stalls filled with art, food and retro clothing – or take a selfie next to Amy Winehouse's statue on route to nearby pubs and music venues. Venture further to Regents Park or Primrose Hill, before jumping on the underground to tick off must-see sights like Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. It'll take around an hour and 20 minutes to reach us from Heathrow Airport by rail, and about the same time from Gatwick Airport. Kings Cross St Pancras train station is a direct train ride away via the Northern Line.

Rooms and Dorms

Our rooms have fresh bedding and hardwood floors. The female-only or mixed dorms come with en-suite bathrooms, or you can book yourself into a private twin, also with its own bathroom. All the rooms come with under-bed lockers, which are big enough to store a 70-litre backpack.

Extras and activities

Perch on a leather stool next to reception and catch up on some emails while watching the action out on the high street. Alternatively, grab a snack at the vending machine in the common room and see if there's a film showing on the big screen. Later on, we recommend heading to lively Belushi’s Bar for a game of beer pong or to catch a live DJ set.

I’m the middle of Camden, 15 min away (on foot!, less by bus) from St. Pancras station, who has Eurotunnel trains and transportation to/from Gatwick and Heathrow airports. Lockers in the room are quite small, just for a day backpack at most, and you need to provide your own padlock. However, there are medium and large lockers available in the basement for an additional price (£1.5~2.5 for each 24h). Not many showers or toilets, but seemed enough for low season.

Good: Nice area to stay in, secure, clean rooms with lockable drawers for bags, comfy beds Bad: Room was quite hot overnight, shower was average for temp and pressure, and atmosphere was a bit dead

My locker was broken in to. Luckily nothing was taken but someone else in my room had their phone & laptop stolen. I also found out another room had been broken into on the same day. There wasn’t any CCTV on the door to my room so they wouldn’t have been able to see who it was might have been. The toilet & shower were small & the beds were cramped but aside from the issue with lockers it was what I expected for the money. The location was great. Only a few minutes from Camden centre & market

There wasn't any kitchen. There were flies everywhere from the rooms to the lounge to the bathrooms. The room smelt like the inside of a gym bag when i first checked in. Then returned to the same smell at night, but with a big fan placed in the middle of the room. which is probably the only thing the cleaning staff did. Too little space in room to place luggage, especially with that many people. No reasons to return to this hostel.

Security -I didn't see any cameras in the area to deter crime. I had random or suspicious people coming into my room and leaving that I knew were not assigned to the room. Location was great. Shower's are horrible, no room, not clean, my rented towel had blood or whatever stains, disgusting. Value for money doesn't match to expectation of lodging facility but matches a motel or 1.5 star. Staff were horrible: contradiction information, and passive racist. I don't recommend.

This is absolutely the worst hostel I've ever stayed in. There's a bar downstairs the hostel that gets all of the attention of the management. If you're staying in this hostel during the weekend, you're f***ed. They give you ear plugs at the reception, but believe me. It's impossible to sleep since you can hear literally every word of the songs and the bass vibrates your bed. Oh, the lockers in the room were broken, there was only one shower for 12 people in the room. 2 toilets for three dorms.
