decent hostel- booked it for a night as I had an early mornign stansted flight (as did most other hostel-ers. In the biz district, so had to navigate through a bunch of posh suit- people at the bar after work to check in, but other than a bit of crowding its fine. nice and clean, good amenities, really dece!

I can only recommend this hostel. Great location, nice staff, clean room. We had a double-bed room on the 3rd floor. It was quiet and perfect for a couple of days. Breakfast was included - nothing fancy but is okay if you want to quick-start your day. (Btw, we had a small fridge in the room, which is an extra good point!) What is more, the pub is just below the hostel! What else do you need?

This place is compact but cute. Nice to have a bar downstairs with good deals on drinks and breakfast. Beds are comfy and it's really nice to have curtains for each bed. Downfalls - the room is never totally dark and to make it worse, for some reason when you plug your phone in to charge above your head it turns an orange light on (a dim one - but still, seems silly), and the chargers are on some low level watt. It took 4 hours to charge an iPhone. Obviously these won't make or break your trip!

Business people, and they rent the only quiet common space apart from your bed.

Way too expensive for a hostel. Not even a towel included or a place to refill drinking water. No real common room/space available.

Only stayed one night since it was close to a train station. Not a particularly great hostel for atmosphere and meeting people. Also not a huge fan of the facilities - showers and bathrooms are tiny and crowded.

I stay in a lot of hostels, this one is definitely up there with the worst - especially for a city like London. The showers were COVERED in hairs. My bed had stains. The receptions is in the back of a pub so you have to squeeze between drunk Londoners to check-in. Extremely loud construction work right outside my window that they did not warm me about. It didn’t feel like the hostel contributed to building a community, or helping travellers meet. Meh, I won’t be going back.
