Overall great stay. Amazing location, quiet space, respectful visitors, kind staff. Cleanliness was lacking. For example, you will want to wear shower shoes. Two toilets and two showers per floor, one fridge per floor, one kitchen sink per floor, a sink in each room. We enjoyed our stay very much, thank you!

The hostel/hotel was easy to find and the instructions to enter were self explanatory. The rooms situated in the far end on the 3rd floor had no internet access as it was too weak. I requested to move to the 1st floor and was moved at no additional charge. The washrooms and showers were not dirty in the least; however, they looked it. I’m sure it had to do with the building being a historic site. That said, don’t judge a book by its cover. Give this place a chance and you will see for yourself.

Honestly it was a decent place and stay, but I think people need to be aware of the low income/homeless shelter across the street. If I read this prior to my visit I would have thought, “ok whatever” but there is yelling in the middle of the night to the point where a heavy sleeper wakes up in the middle of the night. My friend and I planned on going out until late a couple of nights during our stay but the screaming prior to that night scared us so much we did not go out.

They lack a lot of basics, such as a can opener. A little extra effort would go a long way: Perhaps a kettle and tin opener on each floor, for example. The "kitchenette" is just a dirty microwave, fridge, and small table in each corridor (one on each floor). It is very dirty. Our floor smelt because the food trash was so old.

This is a classic you get what you pay for. I think next time I'd rather pay an extra hundred bucks to stay in a hotel. While very quirky with a cute aesthetic, this hostel was quite cold and the rooms were very outdated. Not even a lamp in the rooms or soap/hand towels for the included sinks. The showers were also not clean. If you're looking for super budget and don't mind a lack of comfort then this place is great location wise

Great location but unfortunatly in summer it is like a sauna. The old building with no airconditioning was like an oven and it was very hard to get sleep. It also has no kitchen facilities.

Staff only present from 9am-1pm, so don't expect to be greeted by anyone or to be able to ask any questions. Stayed in a double bed private room, only one outlet in the whole room, bed is very thin and not very comfy, two tiny pillows, bring your own if possible. Was right above the street so it is very noisy, bring earplugs.

Do not stay at this place. I'm not completely convinced this is a legitimate business and not 3 kids in a trench coat pretending to run a hostel. There was bugs in the room, dead flies in a vase on the fridge, smears on walls, loose hairs, no screen in the windows, the locks on the doors were wobbly and it doesn't seem fire sage even in the slightest. I've stayed in 4 different hostels in Vancouver and this was the first that I've not been able to even stay one night.

There was a man peeling in the corner of the entrance on my way in. It was a very smooth late check in with easy access to my key and I checked in (and out) first thing next morning. There was no Wi-Fi Altho I was told it worked in the middle of the corridor (my room was in the middle of the corridor) There’s one room right next to the toilets where it’s soaked that you don’t slam the door as it guests right next to you but can’t imagine it being very nice in that room. I felt liek for the price I payed i
