Comfort and cleanliness are the most important things for a hostel in my book and Tahrir is great for both. Also has a really nice breakfast included which changed each of the 2 mornings I was there, and the staff were welcoming and smiley, especially Andrew. However, the main door and dorm room doors don't lock so slight security issue, but the main building front door is locked at night which helps. Also, the inevitable endless car horns from Tahrir Square might keep a light sleeper awake

The hostel is really nice and situated in the nice part of town. It’s close to the Intercontinental and the Ritz Carlton, which says a lot about the location. I enjoyed staying in the top bunk because of the steps - instead of ladders. It provides more privacy and space to sit on. Finally, the staff here are simply amazing. Everyone speaks English well and Andrew, William and Lamia really made me feel at home with their genuine cere and service. I would stay here again next time I return!
