Overview

Make The 3 Ducks your Parisian home from home. There's a friendly, lively atmosphere here – from the bar to the magnificent outdoor terrace. Meet people from around the world while you're cooking in the shared kitchen, or stoking up the barbecue! Wake up to a free breakfast and have a lazy morning in our window-lined café or common room. We're the oldest private hostel in France, set in a historical 18th-century coaching house. It was renovated in 2014 by a local architect and two artists – don't miss the impressive graphic murals for your Insta story!

Location

We're in an arty neighbourhood in the 15th Arrondissement. Climbing (or viewing!) the Tour Eiffel (Eiffel Tower) is a must-do – and it's a 20-minute walk away. Charles de Gaulle airport is 25 minutes away: take the number 6 line to La Motte-Picquet and change to the 8 until Félix Faure. To reach us from Gare du Nord, take the 4 to Strasbourg – Saint-Denis and switch to the 8 there. Métro stations Félix Faure and Commerce are a two-minute walk away. Trains from either will take you the Champs-Elysées or The Louvre in less than 25 minutes.

Rooms and Dorms

Dorm beds come with free linen and have USB ports to keep your phone charged, along with free Wi-Fi and lamps so you can read while your roommate's snoozing. Private rooms, and some dorms, have en-suites with hot showers and toilets, and there are female-only dorms available. Air con keeps you cool during hot Parisian summers. Our rooms have hairdryers, so there's no need to pack one, as well as safes to store valuables.

The location is great - 10/15 min walk to the Eiffel Tower but its easy to walk to any place from there. It is above a bar which is busy and loud all night which I dont mind but a fair warning to others. All of the staff was super nice from start to finish though and the place was really clean. I would definitely stay here again - it was a cute place!

Loved the room! We stayed in a private 5 bed and the space was good, restroom and shower were nice. Staff was also nice. Location was right by a metro stop which is always ideal. Good food in the area that’s not so touristy. Would stay again!

Very nice place. Beds are clean and comfortable, showers are in the rooms, easy check-in. No lockers in rooms but there are safes for your belongings. Breakfast was great, lots of food. Wifi was quite slow. Two metro stops to the Eiffel Tower and the metro is 2 seconds of a walk from the hostel. Lots of restaurants right across the street and grocery stores nearby as well.

Only concern was no ticket/check for keeping luggage in the bag storage after checkout. Other hostels give you a ticket/number.

Not the best of places and could use some upgrades and renovations. The staff is super nice and helpful!! Compared to the location and price - you get what you pay for. It would have been nice to have some hooks on the wall - that would lessen the clutter on the floor and give guests a bit more space.

    Fabulous

I really enjoyed my stay! It’s super close to a metro station which made getting around very easy. It’s a 20 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower so that’s the first thing I saw in Paris. My only complaints are that the bathroom needs a good scrub because for some reason bathrooms in Europe have terrible ventilation. Also I found a lot of hair in my bed that I know wasn’t mine.

    Fabulous

The location was great and an easy walk to many places and to the metro. The rooms were not the cleanest and it didn’t seem like they were cleaned that well each day. It has a bar within the hostel that many people not staying in the hostel come to, which makes it a busy spot, but fun. Breakfast is free if you’re okay with very simple (toast, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal). Overall good place to stay while in Paris!

    Very Good

WiFi sucks. Beds are metal so very loud every time someone moves around. The shower curtain in my bathroom was disgusting. There’s small safes in the rooms but a few of them didn’t work. The kitchen is TINY. Very close to a metro. The breakfast was nice (cereal yogurt bread juices coffee tea). Luggage storage for free.

I paid extra for an all girls room only and on my last night staying at the location, there was a couple who stayed in the room a young lady and gentleman. I went the next morning when I was checking out and told the gentleman at the front desk that I had paid extra for a girls only room and he blamed another employee and said that they can not descriminate. I asked him why the offered the girls only option then and he brushed me off and continued to blame a different employee for the booking.
