The best thing without a doubt is the staff. I mean cairo in summer and ramadan can be a hard city but Saad, Khaled, Ashraf are always ready to help. Im vegetarian and they gave me the best advices to find food all around. Also for the price the hostel have the best location near to the main attractions. And the tour to the giza pyramid they offer is also very nice with local guide that really know about the city and the places we visited. Keep up guys.

Our drivers were waiting at the airport to pick us up and bring us to the hostel. Even at 4:30 in the morning staff was so happy to greet us. They were very helpful on places to visit and offered their snacks after our long day of flying. Room was very clean and cozy! Absolutely loved our stay here and would be ecstatic ecstatic to stay again! Thank you Australian Hostel for making our first few days in Egypt a pleasant one!

The Australian Hostel has been like a home to me these past few days, in fact, I ended up extending my stay! The hostel itself is very comfortable and sociable. It’s location is fairly close to all the main attractions and markets, which is ideal. And most importantly, the staff (Saad, Khaled, and the rest) are incredibly helpful, welcoming, and attentive. They make sure that you enjoy Cairo to the fullest, no exceptions. Totally recommend this hostel!!

Very clean and good sized rooms, close to the city center. The hostel is not very large so there is not as much of an atmosphere but the staff are amazing so that makes up for it

Its like any other hostel. Beds and rooms are ok. The building is a bit run down but the hostel is on level 3 which is pretty clean. Only thing missing is lockers in the rooms. The best part is the staff. They are super friendly and helpful. Ashraf went above and beyond to get me the cheaper Egyptian only train ticket to Aswan. It's 1/5 of the tourist sleeper train but you only get a recliner seat. The ticket booth will only sell these tickets to Egyptians but the train conducts didn't care.

The staff here were super friendly and helpful for the whole trip. Setting up pyramid tours and Driver’s and airport pickup and drop off. All of them had a good attitude. Hostel is a very good price. And you get what you pay for. Pretty bare bones. But comfy beds and the wifi works well. And they always have someone cleaning. Overall enjoyed my stay.

    Very Good

Staff is a bit too pushy on booking their tours, which aren’t tours, but just taxi rides to the location. We selected the taxi ride to the pyramids/Saqqara/Memphis for $40 & told us we would just have to pay entrance fees. Instead, the driver took us to a small company outside the pyramids where we were led inside, sat down on a couch while a man stood between us and the door and pressured us into buying a way overpriced tour of the pyramids ($280 to ride a horse for a f***ing hour and a half).

The hostel is on an open floor. There wasn't any keys for our room and no security lockers. Location was downtown, so it's very loud outside. Otherwise it was a place to sleep when coming and going.
