You get what you pay for. Rooms relatively cheap for Australia and it shows. Bathroom was very basic but adequate. Kitchen was very small and felt dirty making it difficult to want to use. But very good location, nice staff and decent rooms.

It was what you pay for. Staff was rarely at the front desk. Bathrooms were either full or out of order. The rooms had AC which was a plus.

Pros of this place: location and proximity to train station and comfy bed. Cons: rooms were super small, some were smelly, bathrooms were located in unusual locations and not that great, receptionist was not helpful and unfriendly and vibe/atmosphere wasn’t that great.

Stayed in 4 bedroom. The room was good, enough space to put our bags. Lockers in the room were broken. Bathrooms were terrible, very run down. There seemed to be a lot of 35+ people there using it as their long term residence. If you plan to stay for a few days it’s not bad but I would not recommend a long term stay.

mattress completely worn and thinned out, electronic lock came off door (staff new it was faulty for ages but didn't bother fixing) had to sleep with door propped open to bright and noisy hallway, pigeon in kitchen, bucket on floor collecting water from roof pipes, wobbly stairway plank of wood almost killed me, general dark atmosphere where nobody met your eyes, extremely slow wifi. One staff guy was pretty cool and tried to get people to come to the pub. Left early and moved to better hostel.

The staff were very rude. I asked them if they could order me a taxi to get to work on time and they said that they couldn't incase I didn't show up. I was standing at the reception with my bags and was told this, this is a standard request in hospitality so I was shocked when turned down. The place was filthy, with lots of people smoking weed all day in the back yard, making it a uncomfortable environment for everyone else. Worst facilities I've ever stayed in, will not be revisiting again!
