Very good value for money. Manager really cares for runnings of the hostel and it pays off. I felt very welcome, safe and happy! I will be back after my swing of Fifo!

Lovely helpful staff, the place could do with a massive refurb though especially the toilets/showers and the kitchen. The ovens are beyond difficult to switch on and that’s if you’re lucky enough that it works.

Staff were lovely and welcoming but the facilities left a lot to be desired. Rooms were not clean, other people’s possessions strewn everywhere and the door of my room was continuously chocked open with a towel after I closed it more than once. Bathrooms and common areas were not great either.

I didn’t enjoy this hostel. The balcony door in my room was broken off the hinges so was open the whole time and I was eaten alive by mosquitos in bed (really hoping it was mosquitos and not bed bugs! Room had long term people who had spread their stuff everywhere and had a funny smell in the room, floors didn’t seem to get cleaned. Bathrooms were pretty unclean, towel had stains. Seen cockroaches in kitchen. Staff were nice and it was cheap prices but I wouldn’t stay again.

The hostel is very dirty. All the common areas are dity, nobody seems worried about it. There is not clean service in the room. The mattres are thiny. The personal is good, but seems a place for hippies without any clean care

The hostel has good bones but was very shabby and unclean, there was rubbish overflowing in the room, mattresses caving in the middle with stains and general uncleanliness, bunk beds missing stairs, bathrooms not clean. Although there were some friendly long term residents, at times it felt unsafe as female travellers. It would be worth paying a few more dollars for a big improvement.

Probably the worst hostel I have ever been. The clienliness is an absent thing in this hostel, it smells like anything but cleanliness. The mattresses were thiner than air, the sheets had a really questionable level of cleanliness, the rooms were all messy, the halls were all full of garbage, of clothes from other guests. The staff was far from helpful, asking for refunds is something common, and something unlikely to happen, so dont pay this in advance. If so, ask for the "refundable" option.

I've been to quiet a few backpacks and the Hive hostel is by far the worst I've ever been . The receptionist was pretty rude and the room pretty smelly.
