Really impressed with the value for your money at this hostel. It’s in a convenient location.. close to the city, but far enough away to get a good nights sleep. It is a quiet hostel with a very tight knit atmosphere, feels more like a sharehouse than a hostel. The place is kept clean at all times and the staff are friendly and helpful. This hostel has a couple nice outdoor areas and a nice TV area. The kitchen also has everything you need. I would definitely recommend the Shiralee.

An excellent hostel in Perth! The best atmosphere ever with lovely and friendly people as well as a very kind hostel owner. Glad we stayed here and we even extended because it’s worth the price and located within a quiet area in Perth. Thanks for a good stay everyone at the Shiralee!

Absolutely loved The Shiralee. I'd been to two other hostels in Perth and this was by far a favourite. Its a cosy hostel with good people and a good vibe. Brill kitchen with free pasta, free tea and coffee and a free food shelf. Was also there during their free BBQ night with was great! Charlie the owner is lovely and always happy for a chat and offers lifts to the supermarket if he is heading there. Very accommodating. Would recommend and would definitely stay again 👌🏻

Amazing long term family vibes! Friendly and great staff, facilities cleaned frequently, free food nights, comfy couches. A great way to meet new people quickly as it a small and cozy hostel. Would highly recommend, especially for long term interests. Very safe and secure, have never had or heard of any incidents of theft etc, even with many doors left unlocked. Charlie the owner is great and friendly and stops by often and is always available for information!

Amazing central hostel. Great amenities, very secure, clean, centrally located, large kitchen and plenty of rooms and toilets. Only thing I would say and it's not bad... is it is very close knit group of people as it is a workers hostel were alot of people base themselves here.

My stay here was okay - good kitchen facilities, clean bathrooms and welcoming staff, but the big groups of permanent guests created quite an intimidating and unfriendly atmosphere. Sadly for this reason I wouldn’t stay again.

The staff were friendly. The hostel was ok, but very expensive for what you got. The bedsheets didn’t smell washed nor did the pillows . When I walked in my room it smelt of smoke and was freezing as someone had left the window open all day. I asked if I could have a heater for my second night but didn’t get one. The showers weren’t particularly clean and there was hair everywhere. The communal area was ok.
